Is there any way to get a nice soothing tan colour or something for the background? The light! It burns!!!

This is pretty hard on the eyes. I'm hoping they allow us to change the background so I can read the site again. Otherwise, I'll be visiting a lot less frequently.

I'm also not happy with the style change. But I'm not paying for the site so I'm sure my complaints are not important.

I also like it, other than the white background.

Well the site looks good, the only thing was I couldn't log in so I had to register again for some reason. ;/

For some reason, I am still unable to get any avatar picture to update on my profile. Whether I'm trying a regular or animated gif, it doesn't update on the profile nor in the postings even an hour later.

Ugh, are you sure that we can't go back to the old one?

This one is just too busy, it's the reason I stopped going to Joystiq in the first place.

I guess I'll have to see if I like massively enough to stick with it. According to the magic 8 ball, signs point to no.

Is there any way to get the site to display as white text on black background?

I stare into bright monitors all day - when possible, I like to give my eyes a rest. Mostly-white sites make me squinty.

I really hope they don't screw up WoW.com by giving it this crappy look.

Really really bad decision Massively.

well, the "new layout" is kind of nice, though a little less white and a little more gray on the background wouldn't hurt. but hey, at least the commenting system seems way better so far :p

Ooh er. Very very white. More than a bit startling.

Better than white on black anyhow, it is still more or less readable. Good thing I read most of it on rss feed.

Hope the comments will behave properly from now on since we've had to trade off massively.com and the more sedate background for it.

1) My account (myr) is broken it seems, logging in says I need to claim a username before logging in; registering says my email is already registered. Made this account under another email so I could post now. I could deal with that if it weren't for:

2) New design sucks. I can't read this without squinting, and I have good eyesight. The new headings are great I suppose, but the new color scheme is horrid.

Bug: Last comment page only shows link for previous 20 comments, does not show the page 1, 2, 3 links.

Suggestion: Option to show all comments on one page, or at least 100 comments per.

And there's the f@&#in' white, loss of the nice menu on the right, any form of color and everything else that made Massively look nice. I guess if you're going for that generic 1998 "made in Netscape Navigator" look you nailed it. I'll give it a few days, but I think Massively just went the way of GameSpy for me.

Its a good make up which allows for better segregation of the content. Also, allows for quicker search through.
To people complaining about brightness, I am sure if you use Firefox you can use extensions which will change the white to black and the text to white.

I like the changes, especially to the logins for comments. Although it's not working 100% yet, I'm glad it'll fix issues where my passwords gets lost in oblivion forcing me to remake a new login. (And yes I was typing my login information the same everytime).

Yes, please change the white, sterile loveless background of this cold-hard site. :(

Also, I never visit Joystiq, so even though you folks are sister sites, you might get lost, but this can change again in the future. Just have to see how traffic is affected.

Also, I am still getting used to the respond-thingie. I kinda liked the ability to just read articles and not be logged in, only logging in for a sec to respond, but maybe I'll warm up to this.

Also, "hearts"??? Really, "Hearts"??? I hate to bring up the "My Little Pony" and "Strawberry Shortcake" analogies...

Change it back to Stars or ANY OTHER symbol from the Lucky Charms cereal bowl, not Hearts! :P
