Where did they ever say it was a promise? DStahl said repeatedly that doing weekly series was a brand new thing to them, so they're learning how to do them right. If that means we go a few weeks between series to make them as good as the Devidians, then they should take that time.

Considering they're focusing their efforts on Season 3 right now, and considering what horrible mess Season 2 was when it went live, they need to make sure all the major bugs are squashed. More power to them.

Nope, I'm with Bezza on this one.

Only AFTER they had announced that the development expenses were eating them alive, only AFTER they announced that it would be a month and a half to two months until the next "weekly" episode, did Stahl ask the forums which they'd prefer: technically complex, art-heavy episodes every two or three months, or actual weekly episodes.

Look, lots of MMOs ship new content every three or four months. I was really looking forward to what I thought was going to be STO's big selling point: there will be something new for you and your friends to do together, no matter what level each of you are, every Saturday afternoon.

The series run every week for their duration. (Most series run 5 weeks - based on estimates of Series 3)

There are breaks, however, between series to ensure CBS approval is met and that they can develop enough missions ahead. Consider the breaks, leg-up work.

However, new missions are added between breaks in series (such as the dailies added during Series 1 &2) as well as the new missions rolling out in December before Series 3 starts up in January.

Isn't it implied in the title? "Weekly Episodes" pretty frakking obvious.

Stahl asked, and people responded they wanted high quality content less frequently than weekly average content. So that's what we're getting. They're listening to the players. Not a bad thing, IMO. And it's not going back on a promise if they're responding to players.

I had good times in all the devidian episodes but "What Lies Beneath" and the finale were just off the charts awesome. The environments and the 23rd century Drozana were incredible. I will concede that the "fecth me a drink from Scotty" puzzle was not only weaksauce but also incredibly out of place.

I kinda thought it was funny. Something I never expected.

Oh and Bezza.....take your whinning post to the discusions of the first weekly episodes. You might want to read the other disscusions before you post a stupid text again. Clearly for you its just wanting to complain because others do it too. Boohoohoo Cryptic this and Cryptic that. Bleh...! Grow up.
