Ever imagined what NPCs are doing when you aren't looking? Well, in our imaginations, they hang out, mess around, and have a lot of fun until players show up -- at which time they're back to normal, as if nothing ever happened. While we're not sure what precisely caused today's odd EVE Online NPC anomaly, we'd like to think that these Guristas were perhaps a little too busy having fun to realize they weren't alone. This strange image -- plus a great close-up bonus shot after the break -- comes to us from CommanderCK, the Director of New Eden Mining and Industry and member of the Tactical Narcotics Team. (Perhaps that's it! Those Guristas were on tactical narcotics!) In any event, here's what he had to say about today's interesting image: "So a few alliance-mates and I were doing a Guristas Sanctum. What we saw when we arrived was odd to say the least. I have to wonder how much free time the Guristas pirates have."
Have you stumbled across NPCs doing weird things in your favorite game? Hanging out where they shouldn't be? If so, snap a screenshot of it and send it in to us here at oneshots@massively.com along with your name, the name of the game, and a description of what we're seeing. Please make sure your image is at least 1024px wide, and has as few UI elements as possible in the shot. We'll post it out here for everyone to enjoy and give you the credit.

To be honest that's not really odd... It's a pretty standard sanctum. The other possible one is a station, but the ring ones are quite common.

It looks like robots do in fact dream of electric sheep.

This is why I love EVE, you never know what you'll come across. I hope I can find another Sanctum that's as delightful as this one soon.
