Great points all, and they're applicable in different situations too. For my part, I try to instill in my boys the need to take their time typing and produce coherent, nicely capitalised and punctuated messages, if they're going to say something longer than just a quick affirmative or whatever. Really, this amounts to teaching them that the the Shift, full stop and comma keys are the most important ones on the keyboard!

Good point! By the time they get to keyboarding class in school, they'll be pros. ;)

Yes, it's a great head start! Shift and full-stop are first, because my guys don't make such long sentences anyway; question marks are next and you can have some fun with them too. Commas come later, as their needs and abilities increase. But definitely Shift and full-stop are a great starting point. It all depends on age and ability in the end.

Great points indeed.

The behavior of some online gamers nowdays is absolutely unacceptable.

Sometimes it seems like people act stupid/childish/vulgar just to get a reaction out of people and the "key-board tough-guy" routine is just pointless and annoying.

If your life sucks, please dont take it out on the rest of us gamers who do make an effort to be polite and courteous.

We dont care about your personal problems. that's what therapy is for.

How about the most important tip of all.

Don't leave your child on an MMO unattended and assume that the whole populace will babysit your child.

Don't you think this is something you might want to wait a little later in life to teach your kids? ;)
