$15 for both with a new mount included looks to be a great deal for anyone who wants to support a great pvp experience. Sign me up :)

Explain to me why I would want to pay a subscription to support the game and then pay for RvR packs that should be covered by the subscription. Sorry, but I refuse to play any game that has you pay a subscription and then MT to get access to everything.

Don't you have other things to be worried about?

MT is the last thing this game needs. With sub numbers roughly equivalent to the number of pennies I vacuum up in a week, I don't see the double-dipping doing anything positive for it. Now if they implemented full F2P with the patch, then it may be worth it.

F2P? Oh, you must mean Pay2Win. I don't have any desire to pay $100/mo to compete in an RvR game.

Are you people serious about your $15 whining? How much are you paying for Cataclysm? $15 for a near re-write of the game isn't a lot to ask.

This isn't an expansion pack and certainly not worthy of 10 bucks a piece or 15 bucks for both and yet it contains 20 levels of renown ranks. Can we say, paying for character power, the very definition of micro transactions.

P.S. This screams, Electronic Arts, so loudly that it makes my eyes and ears bleeed. This does not bode well for SWTOR's inevitible business model. I despise Electronic Arts, bunch of greedy, money grubbing scrubs.

it's really a shame,
I remember two years ago when i was thrilled that this game was coming out because it looked just plain awesome and i loved the warhammer franchise
pre-ordered and dived into the game and i remember how thoroughly disappointed i really was....
as far as im concerned I could care less if this game went under, and hell if they want to charge the few subscribers still left for rvr packs that should be available to them anyway...
so be it.

I bought it when it came out and loved it, however I can't afford more than one MMO at a time, IF that.

If this was free to play however with a shop.

I honestly think it might go that way. EAs ABP is going F2P and this game already has a shop, at it needs to do is expand the shop IN the game and drop the monthly fee.

Not saying I'm a huge fan of this, but it's not EA's choice that's in effect here, it's Mythic/Carrie's. Their budget has been slashed to within a shoestring of notbeing viable, so the money that the pack makes or doesn't make will determine if we see updates in the future with their current model or if they'll try moving to F2P, or something more drastic. This feels like the same moment as the AC2 expansion.

To you and everyone else:
Don't pay if you don't want to. Problem solved. No one cares about your opinion of subscription numbers or your opinion of the state of the game.

The game is healthy and fun for those of us that play. This is paid content and more than just paid renown ranks. If any of you actually played the game or followed it in the slightest you would know they are doing smaller more frequent content packs rather than the traditional expansion pack per 2 years.

I know it's the "cool thing to do" to bash WAR but the game is better than ever and has more than just few subcribers.

So, in summation: Don't pay if you don't want to. You can't competently comment on the state of the game if you aren't an active player.

saying "paying for character power" because of the new renown ranks is like saying in cataclysm you are paying for character power because you get 5 more levels. sorry, but some if you are about as ignorant as it gets. im beginning to hate websites like these because it gives clueless people somewhere to talk shit about something they know nothing about. i appreciate massively, and i enjoy reading the updates, but when you scroll down to the comments its just a cesspool of ignorance. i had to swear off mmorpg.com because of the ridiculous posts and commentary from the readers. RARELY does anyone ever have anything nice or decent to say. im pretty sure you just hate your RL and these sites are a way for you to spew your self righteous ignorance

+1

I could not agree more. I'm soooo tired of seeing ranty cry-baby posts from ppl who have either not played in a very long time, or worse, ppl who never played at all. And that goes for all games although to me it seems like WAR gets a weirdly disproportionate amount of hate. All it comes down to is that those posts very often come from fanbois of 'other' games (I'd be willing to take a guess at one in particular...lol) that simply cannot stand seeing other games get any positive press. Its pathetic. Anyone who actually plays WAR right this minute knows its fun and the community of the game as whole is looking forward to this new content. I'm glad to see another reader who is fed up with the constant flaming.

If I judge it by your reply....you do care because it sounds like the negative comments have hurt your feelings.

There's no way WAR is doing bad nowdays, some nights the server is crowded like it was launchday.

The 1.4 Patch will imho only make things better since the campaign will promote action in all three Race-pairings at all times.

No it is just making the rats like mercs...

I have not tried this game in 2 months, and I left yet again because of the lack of people. I would log at night, to try to get on a warband and guess what nothing was happening... ok I was in T2 zone but come on... NOTHING! I did that for about 2 weeks and was only able to get into 2 warbands during the weekend. Soooo I left. I do not play for their PVE content I like the PVP content and at lease T2 the content is lacking and I do not want to run the same scenarios everynight... for that I keep my WOW subscription and be done with it.
