Good Luck in Agon.

Remember that while you wont be able to go toe to toe with a vet in the short time you are playing you will be able to contribute to your team from day 1 (granted you will contribute more after a week or two)

If I can offer one important piece of advice its BANK OFTEN!

Get a good clan ASAP. A good clan will let you join in everything within days of joining. Sure you will suck but they wont care.

>> nothing could withstand the momentum of 1400 frothing FFA Forumfall fanboys (not even a late-week surge by Global Agenda).

True story. Forumfall ftw. Enjoy your time in Agon! :)

Forgot to add they are pretty much running things there, and seem to be a mature group of ppl. Think u would get most bang for ur buck in terms of what is capable in a game like that with that guild.

Hope you have fun, but please god join a clan. Solo darkfall is not very exciting. Plus player citys are a big part of the game.

I'm glad you'll be joining the ranks of Agon!

As others have said, join a clan once you get a feel for the game, because Darkfall truly shines when you're involved in large scale combat and sieges.

As countless others have said since Darkfall's launch, "Welcome to Darkfall!"

1) Get into a clan right away. The community might seem bad but once you get into a clan it is the other way around: very helpful, friendly, and giving people. A clan will help you a lot.

2) The UI might seem frustrating at first but you will get used to it quickly and it really will not bother you.

3) This is not a recommendation but a necessity: watch Valroth's Darkfall - Accelerated Character Development Guide(s) on Youtube. They will help you out immensely. The videos help every player out that is new to the game. Extremely helpful.

4) Have fun!

My tips for you:

- Use a decent mouse for FPS games with a decent mouse pad
- Have a good computer
- Forget the good graphics in siege, choose for better performance in sieges
- Join in a good clan envolved in the political aspect
- Go for sieges and sea fortress whenever possible
- Forget crafter, 6 weeks is a short time for it
- Everytime that anyone in your clan call you for PvPing, stop all things and go
- Grind in mobs, it is more fun, more fast and pay your train in the most times
- Never use a thing that you can't or don't want lost
- Remember, all things are just pixels, don't be afraid of lose, have fun

Mahirim are the only non-pathetic race in the game, easy choice :)

you will never be good at combat if you pick Mahirim, they are so bulky you can even see whats in front of you. Go with Alfar or Mirdain.

This is great news! and I am glad Jef Reahard willl try it out longer than just one evening. This game is best judged over a week or so. I think its important during that week to be part of a seige and/or ship battles.

Its true this game has as non-linear approach in that there isnt any levels but I think its not correct to say the skill system is non-lineral becuase it is. The language does display the overall 'vibe' of the game around skill system but 'non-lineral skill system' isnt exactly true.

welcome to darkfall!
