Does this one have a true open world or is it like other MMOs with the 'impassable cliffs/mountains/etc' type of world?

Open and explorable, but zoned like EQ2. I explored for a while and -- if you watch the film -- teleported into some other cities. Neat looking places!

good write up Beau.

I heard of this before but the region lock stopped me from getting too far when I tried to look at it, any word on if if it's getting a international release / NA release?

I know this got brought up in last weeks column but I don't think there was a definitive answer ....

No, I can't get it cleared up. I can ask the publisher, though, although they might write me anyway to answer.

I know this is a dumb question, but is this game supported in the USA? I seen the site, and only seen european languages available (UK included). You playing it would tell me the obvious, but i'd just like to know from a informed party on what I may or may not be missing.

that was my question, the answer from Beau: "I don't know"

this game really is pretty beautiful, even more so because I can tell that the games developers were not leaning on the engine to supply post effects for prettying things up. is this unreal 2 or unreal 3?

I'm thinking it's U2 but it looks so good that it could just be U3 with all of U3's distinctive bells and whistles turned off.

ok, I kinda got our answer.

http://pt2.subagames.com/

as you can see it's "coming soon", soon being that the game was licensed from the korean developers for a NA release by a company call Wiked interactive Ltd.

*IN 2008* and the game was supposed to launch that same year.

these guys seem to also have a online shooter called M.A.T. that I have never heard of before, ACE online (thought this one was already licensed by someone else), the first Prison Tale (actually up and running), some game called Fragoria, and some "thing" called Kuso party. it's not exactly a stellar lineup and their websites all load hyper slow so I'm guessing that they aren't even hosted in NA ...

all of this is run through wicked interactive's portal "Suba games", maybe someone who has used this before can vouch for them but this place really dosen't look like the pinnacle of reliability and quality.

NA players who want to get into this game should probably break out their sad face emotes ...

Well, sad we didnt met after the first time Beau :).
Game is rly good looking. I had blast when i crafted level 20 claws for my druid and on them were wraped snakes and they were moving wow! (nice detail)

My enjoyment dropped after realising that crafting is really not worth it (as i focused all my effort on it). Its fine u get the best weapon(or any other eq) faster but they can be dropped and drop rate is not so low (strange i was gettin lot of weapon drops and just from time to time droped my class weapon). Crafting is rly pricy. I had chance to craft wepons early only cause there was Haloween event where i was able acumulate enough gold.

Another drop was from realising that i picked most bugged class in game :). Buffs that should increase your attack speed are decreasing it and such ...

I will stick with this game bit longer just to test another class that i got eyes on. And from time to time grind with my druid.

I shall give try your grouping suggestion. Even tough game is not very crowdy :).

I'll vouch for SUBA games, as I've been playing their "Ace Online" for a couple years now, have bought membership through a variety of different methods including in-store games cards (available at Target for example) 3rd party game cards (Ultimate game card for example) as well as made Suba point purchases directly through their website. Its on the up-and-up.

Suba is Canadian by the way, and while they are relatively new on the block (just celebrated their 2nd anniversary this summer) and they don't have a huge number of bigname titles, the few they do have are pretty decent and have decent sized followings of players.

fair enough, plenty of small "no name" mmo hosts out there and being small dosen't necessarily translate into being bad.

The sneezing sound your pet made didnt bother me at all.

What DID bother me was that constant sound as if you were driving your car down the street and forgot to take your damn left turn signal off.

You didnt find that annoying at all?
