I'm surprised Rockstar hasn't picked this up.

Will be hard to re-hire the team, all the important people from the project already have new jobs.

Also, from what you say, it sounds like SOE, but I don't think they're stupid enough to think they can turn it around by Christmas.

based on that summary I would say K2Network but getting this out by Xmas sounds like someone has been on the 'Christmas spirit' a little early this year!

Whoever picks it up will have to fix the glaring control issues the game had prior to kicking the bucket. Plus I don't see why the game Shouldn't go F2P Micro with an optional Sub for freebies would make logical sense in my book.

Codemasters is probably very busy with their own thing to resurrect some sunken ship.

What control issues? Even prior to some of the minor control tweaks there were no terrible controls, just terrible players.

I gotta agree with Mavicz. Every time I hear someone complain about the controls in that game I have to role my eyes. Of all the legitimate complaints one could lob at that game, the controls were certainly not one of them.

Well EXCUSE me for having a legitimate problem with the way cars handled in the game. I guess I'm such a Noob I can't drive Oh golly gee whiz Uber Pros Help me HELP ME!!
The controls were a bit off when I tried it ok so if they fixed that issue before it went belly up Great! it'd just be nice if someone picked it back up, dusted it off, and put it back online Agreed?

I'll agree to that last part. All APB needed in the first place was a little more time in the oven. Anyone who can give it the TLC it deserves and a proper re-release is a saint in my book.

I'll agree to the whole part. APB driving sucked. Period. It was not only the delay, it was the unnatural behaviour of the car when you were turning (the infamous "handles like a boat"). And I don't bite the cake "It was not client-side therefore couldn't be done". Games like Auto-Assault and whatnot have done it.

I assumed SOE would buy it, throw it in maintenance mode and stick it on their station pass. The technology would be great to use with Planetside Next or EQ Next.

I believe one of the biggest things that ruined the game is easily noticed in the picture. False advertisement is one. Two is the failure to make changes to the game so it could fit what players wanted. I know thats a loaded response. Giving everyone what they want is a massive feat but I think making cars at least durable would of made a lot of the fights rather interesting.

No I'm not saying vehicular hp was the downfall of the game. Just false perceptions by the consumer.

Why create something that most of the audience dislikes. Makes very little sense.
