I seen this video somewhere else last night and wondered if it was a single player or multiplayer game because it looks pretty good

From what I've read, it's an MMORPG in beta testing in Korea. They have no plans "right now" to release it outside of Asia, which makes me a sad girl, to be honest. Hopefully, the interest this is generating outside of Korea and China, where it's first debut will be, will lead it to be released elsewhere.

I really liked seeing the open landscape and the scope of it all.

I get excited about wide vistas when I first see them too. Then I think about what it's like to run through them looking for something to do.

I hope those huge cities are stuffed with content, and not just five minutes of scenery you're forced to run through to get to the vendor or NPC you want.

Since it's a sandbox game, chances are you'll be making your own content. There will be a few quests and tutorials, but don't expect WoW/EQII levels of direction and hand-holding.

@Jef:

It's not lack of hand-holding quests and tutorials I'm worried about. I've played sandbox games. I was playing Asheron's Call 1 back in beta.

"Content," to me, is more than just theme park rides. It means "anything my PC can interact with."

In today's AC1, you can run in any direction and you're pretty much guaranteed to stumble into something interesting - a dungeon, an NPC, and ancient battle site, a tower with mobs and a chest. In AC1 at ship you could run a loooong time and never see anything but random mob spawns.

That's what I worry about in a game with gigantic amounts of space. I don't need quests, but I need more than 50 square miles of random spawns.

Ah, I see where you're coming from. I don't usually see content defined in that way, it's an interesting perspective.

Thanks.

World looks really good so far. I just hope that it won't have to suffer from stale combat.

One of their 'features' is. . . No mini-map!!
Surely a game to look forward

This looks interesting! This game is now on my sandbox radar. I will look forward to finding out more about it.
