Well, say what you like, but it sure beats the pants off a $25 sparkle pony.

Really glad they didn't stick you, based on your already chosen Aura. Got a Magic Brute that would be awesome with Bio Plasma.

They didn't learn their lesson with the party pack?! This is just sad.

TEN new auras available at level 1 -- I'm sold on that without the capes, and some of them look pretty great as well.

Looks like the best boostetr pack yet.

Nah, this is closer to the wedding pack. Auras and costume options are customizations that some people would really like. Yet other people don't like the look and would be unhappy if too much of their subscription money was spent supporting a bevy of graphic artists making costumes that they will never use.

I do wish that if they were going down this route, that they split the damn packs up more and make the microtransactions more micro. I'm not paying $9.99 for an entire pack. But I do like the leaves cape and aura, and the magic runes/tarot card aura, and would pay $2-3 for each.

As is, this pack is going the same way as the wedding pack for me, can't see the entirety being put to good use, so not picking it up.

I don't know. This is the second pack after the recent emote one and I am hearing low grumblings/gripes about it. You seem to defend this and then you say it is not worth the money. I get that and agree. Maybe $5.00 would have been a better fit: IMO, these auras and capes are not that awe-inspiring. In fact, they don't seem like too much work was put into them by the Dev team.

I am seeing a certain malaise among CoH's playerbase and these two packs are outlining it. Either they are running out of ideas and are "getting lazy" or its something else. At a time that Paragon/MCSoft should be fanning the flames that were caused when they released "Going Rogue", I see more of a half-hearted attempt on their part.

Maybe not buying these packs are the answer and the players will start seeing some interesting packs again, but this latest effort is just too little with no real substance.

I am so buying this! I have several characters that will be using those auras, and some that will even use the capes.

I can tell you exactly why Cape/Aura/Costume booster are a much better value to the majority of CoH players than "emote" packs.

The only time you use emotes is when you're standing around someplace just chatting with people. You can't really use them in combat and only the really die hard role-players would really want them.

Costume pieces on the other hand are the bread and butter of CoH. In a pack like this there's something for everyone. I have about two or three characters that could stand to benefit from a couple of the aura or the capes.

This is actually a step in the right direction as far as booster packs go. The set's theme isn't so highly specialized that it doesn't matter to the majority of the playerbase. Not everyone had a "Cyborg", "Mad Scientist", or "Ninja".

I am a veteran player and I don't buy packs. This particular pack offer 5 capes and 10 auras and it's not impressive, at all. No emotes. No special schwing. No nothing else.

The mutant cape is really a shame.

It's a legit way to gain more cash but I am not buying.

You simply can't compare this to the emotes pack - this booster actually has useful and desirable things in it!

Ok it's not as good value as the Martial Arts, Cyborg or Magic boosters, but there are far more pieces in this capes/aura pack that I'll find useful across all my characters than what I've used from the Martial Arts pack so far. Costume pieces are very subjective though.

It's a shame they couldn't have put in another Ninja Run type of power, but with a different running style, and maybe a few other pieces, yet it still seems like decent value to me (I've bought every booster so far except the emote/party pack and the wedding pack).

I liked the tech ones best as they would work well with my newest toon, a clockwork MM. The natural and magic ones looked cool, too.

I would have to say I prefer the Mutant auras the best.

I have to say I like the nature, magic and science auras. Unfortunately I don't really care for any of the capes. Perhaps when I can see them up close in the character creator screen I'll think differently.

Yeah, I don't think I'd pay ten bucks for this pack (esp. being an unemployed college student) but my rad/fire troller needs the toxic fumes aura. Also, my plant troller definitely would look awesome with the plant cape and leaves aura. Some of these are pretty neat and it would be nice to win a free booster.
