Lol, I definitely remember having quest logs full of green / grey quests. Even though I thought I was leveling at a normal pace and exploring the content in an ordered way, I still out-leveled a ton of stuff. It boggled my choices... would I miss a nice reward if I didn't finish a grey quest line? Should I take the rift to a new area and leave behind unfinished business? What quests would be ok to drop, and which ones should I keep to finish later?

Anyway, I guess it's better to have too much to do than too little.

Krystalle, do you mind posting your system specs and what kind of settings you run the game in? (Or a link if you've already done that elsewhere.) I'm just wondering if the game would run better since I've upgraded my pc.

I don't mind doing that at all. I've been playing across two machines during the run, so I'll grab system specs and post those when I get a chance. :)

Stux: I've played it for years across different PCs, some very old ones. Here is a video showing my older PC running it a few years ago (the video says uploaded a year ago because I had to re-upload. In truth it was done probably near 3 years ago) :

The older machine I have now runs VG great, it has:

AMD Phenom triple-core

6 gigs RAM

Nvidia 9600

Audigy XFI audio

...I think any recent PC should be able to run it fine. The main issue with VG is still the odd bugs and the hitching. Otherwise, it runs good and looks amazing, especially at night or when flying!

Heh, Beau beat me to it, but just for the sake of reference, here's the stats for my two primary gaming rigs:

Desktop:
- AMD Athlon II X4 620 (quad-core) 2.60GHz processor
- 4 gigs RAM
- EVGA nVidia GeForce 9800 GT (1 gig)
- onboard sound

Secondary media PC (connected to TV):
- AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ Windsor 2.8GHz (dual-core) processor
- 2 gigs RAM
- nVidia GeForce 8800 GT (512 mb) video card
- Soundblaster...something that was in the closet? (Sorry, I'm not entirely sure. This one was a total frankenputer build out of spare parts.)

Neither machine is currently oc'd. I can run everything on max on the new machine without a hitch. I tend to be slightly more conservative on settings on the other one (medium-to-high, depending on the specific setting) but don't really have too many issues with it.

The screenshots taken above were on the primary machine, btw.

Hope that helps!

Thanks, you two! And that was a nice video, Beau.

My machine is pretty similar to the desktop system you mentioned, Krystalle. Except I think you have more video card memory. Sounds like VG should run pretty well for me these days.
