One thing to remember when buying sets is that head gear does *NOT* count as part of the set. A full gear set consists of boots, leg, hand, and chest armor. So you can save a bit of money and materials by not buying headgear since you don't need it anyway to dedicate a set in the hall.

Prices have spiked hardcore on Vabbi armor materials.. I'm glad I got my vabbi set 2 years ago cause 10plat each for rubies and sapphires is agony. The going rate for Amber and Jade has gone up too but those are pretty easy to farm if one is just patient. Interestingly, the price on Obsidian set items hasn't really changed much which suggests that while demand may be high the ability to just go out and do a FoW full clear to unlock the forgemaster isn't...

Luxon side is generally easier than kurzick side with respect to progression and grinding rep. Mount Quinkai can be done in your sleep.. even in hard mode. If you're running a vanquish there you'll get about 10 - 12k rep per run. Kurzick side doesn't have an area quite as easy as Mt. Quinkai, closest you're going to get are Melandru's Hope vanquish runs... touch harder but easier than anyplace else kurzick side, especially in hardmode.

I succumbed to HOM mania and went nuts buying 70 Jadeite Shards when they reappeared at the trader yesterday.

At 700g/shard, would anyone care to let me know how much I'll be regretting this in 3 months? :)

If you're warrior you can craft the Silver Eagle armor as well, 400 feathers can be easily farmed at Jaya Bluffs.

*if* you can solo farming run the Nahpui mission, which can be done if you have the SoS RIt build, you can farm up 400 feathers in about 2 to 3 farming runs.
