Wonder if some enthusiasts will start working on preCU servers, like they are doing with SWG.

This is nothing like the NGE or even the CU before that this is minor compared to that. Obviously you are not a bitter SWG vet like me.

Kudos to Icarus, they seem to be listening to the community. I don't play much anymore but most of these items are in line with what I thought most out of place the whole time. Big ups for the Armor Use changes, that skill ate up so many points that could have been put elsewhere. I wonder if they are changing "On Wires" any time soon =p Good to see though, always got love for a good community and FE certainly has that.

So... We gonna get a free respec?

I've got to agree with you, this deserves a full free respec. These changes could make some mutations and skill be worth a lot less and others be worth a lot more. So without the option to respec some characters could suddenly suck through no fault of the player.

That "community" is only a handful whining on the forums, how they couldn't kill someone. If devs think, that this bunch can pay their bills then good. At least I started to play and like Fallen Earth as it is(was), not how some e-sportsmen want it to be. If PvP guys think that they are the privileged ones, whos whining turns the whole game upside down, then I think they should be the ones who pay it too, I take my money elsewhere. And I think I am not alone here.

Or You could wait and see how they actually affect things before raging.

This isn't a HEY FUCK YOU PVEERS THE PVPERS ARE MOAR IMPORTANT! This is a 'yeah pve is embaressingly easy when u understand it and we get that so instead of making it even easier to try to balance the weapons we will bring into line the things that are out of balance(dodge for example..stacking this basically brought about god mode in pve, giant hordes of things lower level than you...even 5 or so...were minor annoyances, etc). Will make it so you have to pay attention more in pve and such.

Try it, get to know it and then ragequit...dont go...IT SEEMS BAD OMFG RUN...especially considering you haven't seen any numbers or anything like that.

Yeah right, as you go to lower level zones looking for challenge. Whining that lower NPCs don't offer a challenge, don't make me laugh. In most MMOs mobs under certain level don't even attack you, so you can walk around freely in every lowbie area. And yet here the whiny kids find it gamebreaking that lowbie mobs don't kill you.
Guess what, I find it good that they don't kill me. If i go to scavenging trip, I don't go there to bust my behind off for every node.

And they still won't kill you, the chances of mobs 10 or more levels below killing you is low even with how the patch would work. Low at even 5 but its at that point it gets more to depending on the mob...only thing it means is u cant go charging into the middle of decent enemies and kill them all...drink some tea and then murder them all again without thinking, watching agro or you know...needing any sort of a brain.

But in what world should 30...count em...30...level 45 mobs barely dent ur health at even level 45? And that's all 30 attacking at once etc. Sorry how many games do that now?

Thats the thing, even now you have to pay attention, even with level 10 mobs you have to aim your shots. Increasing the damage of mobs is making you to think more? Look at cajedo, it has a ton of hp and does a lot of damage, does it mean, that you have to think much while killing him? Simple tedious tank and spank.

And if i go to deadfall right now, then 30 level 45 mobs will beat me up pretty badly. Exaggerating?

Then you are buffing wrong if a bunch of level 45 mobs kill you(say white crow). Even the 50 human league. Beasts are understandable.

They aren't doing more damage they just hit more and do around 1/2 extra points. Just the hitting more will make the difference. The major life saver in pve right now are glances and even more so outright misses. That's the major fix to pve that would be going in.

And im counting more than aiming...watching agro etc. Only time you really need to right now are the low levels....above 30 and up to 50 u barely have to watch out.

As I am mainly a crafter, then my buffing abilities are limited. There are more builds playing the game than min-maxed combat builds for whom the CU is being made.

Yet I have to go to the wilderness with my crafter to scavenge mats for myself. When I currently go out and can concentrate on scavenging, then after 1.7.1 I have to concentrate on fighting trash, just to reach that node(which i don't even know what it contains).

Changing mitigation cap(to 50%) and make the cap reachable only through buffs in addition to making dodge almost useless.. I would say, that the damage increase is a bit more than "Just the hitting more will make the difference".

Kala,

They are not changing the agro range of mobs, so what is your issue?

You can still go and scavenge under the very same conditions, just that if you happen to get agro, it may be a little harder to bring down the mobs.

You are acting as if they are adding an unlimited agro range and adding more mobs to each scavenging node.

Who is the one exagerating here?

And what about mobs that shoot through walls? if this goes through, what is already a neussance would become completely game-breaking. I say that before any CU be attempted that this bug (that's been ingame SINCE LAUNCH) be fixed first

Mobs do not shoot through walls, they shoot through doors or gaps. This is a minor annoyance which can be countered by backing into a corner and drawing the mobs out of the rooms.

It is hardly game breaking.

No. They shoot through walls. Crouched behind a brick wall and being hit by someone on the other side that you can't even see. In the D.O. fortress, being hit in the back when the only door is in front of you. Now you will be cut to pieces before you can even find whoever is shooting you. Haven't encountered it constantly, so I don't know about "game breaking." But it is certainly more than a "minor annoyance."

Ive read the comments displayed on this page as of Nov18,10 and i agree with Kala, and some of the points made by others. But note:
((some of the following may not be 'dead' per-say, but arent exactly healthy))
Major change was a leading contributer to the deaths of;
*Tabula Rasa (along with Deaf Devs and R.G being greedy)
*Age of Conan (which is still dying, if only due to deaf or PVP favoring Devs)
*Auto Assault (...)
*Warhammer Online (**similar issues as A.o.Conan)
*SWG (hey look! another Jedi!)
and the list goes on..

IMO: fix what the game already has as confirmed issues. If PVE is too easy, roll a noob and challenge yourself differently the next time through.
Players who 'learn' a game and what works, ought not to be punished (essentially) by severe alterations to game mechanics.

*These are only my opinions from experience and not meant to cause undue grief. TY for allowing me a voice, and taking the time to read/comment.
