You rock! \m/

Although I fear your logic will be lost on the fanboys and fangirls.

I could not agree more....I'm a huge FF fangirl who was looking forward to the game til I beta tested it,my husband cancelled our pre-orders the next day. I would rather see people discuss about how bad a game is and give it bad reviews than see more unfinished messes make millions of dollars. We need to send mmo devs the message that we don't want the unfinished garbage they are trying to call a finished product at launch and maybe they will get a clue. I don't expect new games to be as complete as say WoW or EQ2 straight out the gate but enough to keep us busy til the first major patch would be nice. Just my 2 cents!!!!

So the PC ui is limited because of a console version of the game that is not even out yet..brilliant ;) Why not simply have the pc and console version have different ui ?

What about the other questions such as lack of auction house, lack of recipe book, ui lag and so on ?

Because we'll be playing on the same servers. You don't want to be rejected from a group because you're playing on a controller, do you?

Well, it shouldn't matter whether you are playing with keyboard or controller, if the UI is designed specifically to work with them, so that a player using the controller UI with a controller, is as effective as the player using a keyboard+keyboard UI.

Besides, no one would know unless you told them.

No problem at all.
I've learned (the hard way) that one shouldn't take the oft times insult-laced ad-hominem-riddled video game opinions on the internet too seriously.
You don't like a game? Cool. That's your opinion.
I like it, so hey, it is what it is.

That's why I've tried in earnest to keep my posts on this blog on topic.
Blind defense is about is silly as abject hatred. There are many who enjoy and play FFXIV that are very aware of its flaws, and are still disappointed in the state of the game at release, but still enjoy what has been presented, as vacuous as that might seem to others, and look forward to the changes to come. My hope is that SE's community staff (maybe the most affable of the company) conveys our wishes thoroughly.

Look FFXI was in JP for almost a year and 7 months before it recieved any kind of love after that it was release to the rest of the world with RoZ (Rise of Zilart for all you newbs lol). Iam just thinking this is SE doing it all over again just this time WORLD WIDE soo they can do their major testing and updating maybe ? they cant test all in the studio they would have to get it out in the world. Seeing as many users on pc dont have the same build. Give the game a bit its only been out for like 2 weeks ? and SE has been making updates etc. and a new update for Market Ward will or should be out this week since last week it was in its final builds either way yes keep QQing I understand that wont stop as I have tried before to put flames out and or had my hand in bashing too on non lovers of the game lol, but really give the game a break come back later ? the game needs work on it but it will be fine tuned and playing great and I predict it will be alot faster then that first year that jp had FFXI and they had nothing to do. It really was the same scenario we are in now a few area's towns etc. soon their will be a whole slew of updates it might not justify the ones that rage quit or the ones that want instant gratification, really my honest opinion is that WoW made it soo easy that everyone wants it to be just as easy as that and built the same way SE stay true to your heart keep parts of the game secret til we all learn and understand it, thats what I love about SE they hold strong to their business ways but they are tryin to break the commincation barrier which is good but still keep stuff secret cuz i want to learn and discover.

Please, learn how to write in proper English before posting anything again. All your posts are the same, it's impossible to understand you.

Thanks.

Just wanted to say what I had to say about the game, and if that bothers you then dont read it, I for one like many others enjoy the game we dont have to have it perfect it takes time for devlopment....once again I'am not goin to fight with you sorry ass trolls that down a game that you tried in beta or for five minutes or its not the same as wow so it sucks. That is not SE they like to challenge whats wrong with that ? Nothing..

before you rage out again and have a heart attack, Kaede was referring to the horrible, vague block of text you had written up. Spacing and paragraphs would of done wonders for its readability.

Also, there is no spaces between the end of a sentence, and its punctuation, that only applies to comas, but only on one end.

And after a punctuation, the first letter of the first word should be capitalized...

...And its "a lot", not "alot"...

...And there's no apostrophe needed for " I'am " since you spelled-...

I give up... too many errors in proper English...

Seriously, I'm having a super hard time taking you serious with all this stuff, Massively. They didn't SAY anything (as presented here) -- The same smoke and mirrors they always use (and have since the beginning of FFXI) -- This doesn't even qualify as a puff piece, but since they never say ANYTHING, this looks like the second coming for some people because of my god, AN INTERVIEW!

So there was nothing asked about Market Ward search? the SP system? lol. They wouldn't even say anything to you about Ishgard which people COULD be getting to already.

And here you are, talking them up to be just the bee's knees.

No, really, guys, how on Earth is anyone reading this site supposed to take you seriously?

A bit surprised that hear that the UI is their #1 issue right now... I would have hoped it was performance because wow.... I've never seen lag like XIV's got lag. It's got every type of lag, all at the same time, all day. Oh yeah!

Common theme for many of the major gripes right now is that it was simply not made for the PC and never will be... Is there a reason why no other big developers try to release multi-platform MMO's? hmmmmm

Also, having quite a good time with the game despite all the problems. :P

Thanks for the interview, while pleasant I wonder if it was frustrating to not being able to get any concrete info on future content. That's how they roll, it's pretty obvious from playing the game what is to come though.

I do like how open they are about wanting to give players what they'd like and supporting role players, who actually says please make sure they give us their info?? In a time where RP is seen as not that important in most dev teams, I think it's great.

So much hate! Vigo must be loving this.

Anyways, I have to say that I'm still looking forward to playing this with PS3 launch of the game. I have to say that, in some ways, I actually like SE's attitude. They know what they want this game to be and what they don't want it to be. They're not trying to make it an amalgamation of every MMO on the market to get more subscribers. As for the UI, I can't comment, until I try to manage using it on PS3.

It's a world they created, it's their rules. Don't like it? Play something else.

You do want there to be people around to keep the game alive until PS3 release, right? When all the unhappy people leave, considering the response, how many people do you expect will be left?

Exactly what Brian just said. I played APB a few weeks after launch and was frustrated by the amount of griefing, hacking and disastrously imbalances matchmaking, pitting me up against seasoned vets with rocket launchers. I tried various avenues to voice my concerns and at every turn was met with the same cry: "QQ moat, lern2play, if you don't like it, gtfo."

So I did.

People have to learn that life might be sweet for them up in their ivory towers, but standing alone without support or cover makes their tower susceptible to getting blown over.

I'm enjoying ffxiv a lot at the mo, there are issues but for me it's not a wow clone, unlike nearly everything else released recently, and having burnt out on wow I'm finding the difference very enjoyable.
Shame the interview didn't really contain anything new but squenix aren't renowned for their openness, the amount they've already engaged in the community has been a pleasant surpise.
