DC Universe fans can officially stop crying in their beer. No, the delayed launch date hasn't been rescinded, but today does mark the official start of the pre-order beta period. Budding superheroes who have ponied up for the SOE title will need to submit an image of their receipt via the official pre-order webpage to get the process rolling. Don't delay either, as submissions must be received prior to November 15th in order to receive your beta key.
In addition to the privilege of previewing and testing the game, bug-hunters will get to participate in the end-of-beta event showcased in last summer's Blur Studios trailer (an apocalyptic throw-down featuring Batman, Superman, the Joker, Lex Luthor, and others). Check out SOE's new pre-order beta page for more details.
[Update: Note that this offer only applies to North American players. Visit DCUO Source for the official word from SOE.]

Hmm I was a bit confused to the reason they wouldn't have a pre-order option for the UK.

So, I suppose those of us that pre-ordered the game online are screwed?

lol i guess so! What a strange way to get into a beta... We have to scan a pic then email it to them?! Or fax? wtf is going on here?! It's like were living pre internet days have have to send in proof of purchase of 5 cereal box codes to get our free toy

How are you screwed? Most web-sites send you a confirmation order, so I would imagine that would work.

Or you could just screen shot the receipt you recieved from whatever online service you ordered from and send it to them, like a bunch of other people did. If you didn't get a receipt then that's your fault. :X

I copy and pasted a pic of my Amazon receipt, and sent them that.

Step 1 - Pre order at Amazon.
Step 2 - Screen cap the order page.
Step 3 - Send screen cap.
Step 4 - Cancel pre order.
Anyone can get in, now.

Do you know if using a steam receipt is fine or does it have to be one from the soe page?

That's what I did with my email receipt from steam. It's been a little over 24 hours. I got an email asking me to verify my email, but I think that was just due to me making an account, not the beta application. No mention of the beta. They really should have an automated email reply, so I at least we know we're on the "list" I wouldn't have bought it yesterday if I didn't think I would get in the beta!

What a bunch of horseshit.
I preordered at Gamestop. I don't need to save my receipt, its tied to my account, AND with Gamestop just switching over to the Power UP Rewards, My preorder isn't listed on that page, as it only shows preorders you made WITH the new card.
What kind of ass-backwards beta promotion is this?

Anyone who's done this have an ETA on how long it took to get approved and your beta code?

Please note that the above offer to get into beta only applies to NA players. Those outside of North America will not be guaranteed beta access by November 30 if they preorder.

I'm sure they have thousands of requests they have to go through so it will take a while. Haven't received mine since I submitted it on the 8th.
