I do miss my adventures through Telon. I do recommend Tomb of Lord Tsang, it truly is an epic low level dungeon.

Its a difficult choice, Kojan has some fantastic content, but its always the quietest area out of the three.

I'd probably suggest going to Veskal's Exchange if you don't have a group you roll with. It is where most people go and it has some nice dungeons in it, mind you all the dungeons are fantastic.

No matter where you end up, port to Veskals first, and do not rebind anywhere else. You won't find a more convenient spot to sell/rent mount/train. From there you can take the rift to Qa or Tsangs.

The major issue with the elevator is the parachute buff from the mount. You have to make sure you cancel it before you use the elevator and you won't have issues. Or at least not as many.

Veskel's is one of the most populated areas, so I would definitely recommend heading there and binding, like enamelizer said. It's easy to move between these areas, and Qa Riverbank has the starting quests for the Hunter's League, which gives decent rewards for the level.

You can also pick up a mount in one of the cities for a reasonable cost. Don't forget to get saddle bags for more storage, and possibly horse shoes and tacks for extra speed.

The elevator thing in the Temple was a huge pain, until someone mentioned in group that you have to click off the parachute buff you get from the pegasus (it lasts for ten minutes IIRC).
