If there are two things that MMO players love, those things would probably be killing enemies and getting prizes. (The third would be cheesecake of either variety.) Aika seems keen to capitalize on this, and the game is running a promotion for players through the 13th of the month allowing those two passions to combine into one. For the duration of the event, every time you kill a monster, you have a chance of winning a brand-new graphics card from NVidia.
The system for entry is simple. Any enemy fought within your level range will drop a token, which can produce one of two items. The first is an NVidia box which includes useful in-game items and certainly is nothing to sneeze at. The second is a raffle ticket, which automatically puts you in the drawing for one of the graphics cards, with more tickets meaning a better chance of winning a card. Aika players are also given a special page to track their entries, something that will no doubt become quite frequent as the event marches on.
[Update: We've changed up the graphic with the most current one per the folks at gPotato. Note, the event runs through the 13th, not the 18th!]

A raffle within a raffle... Cant believe Nvidia would let their name be anywhere near this game. The game itself has really good potential but there are game breaking bugs that have been around since closed beta. "Tech Support" for this game is a bunch of 15 year olds with anime signatures in the forum who have no idea what they are doing.
I personally 'spammed' their tech support with a game breaking problem that is effecting a large percent of their player base just so one of these people would ATLEAST make a sticky about it and start requesting system info so the dev's (who still haven't acknowledged the problem) can look into it. Once I seen some of the Moderators and Tech Support people replying with "^.^ Not sure it doesnt happen with me" or "Reformat ^.^!!" I quickly lost all hope in that game.
I do still check the sticky on the forum about the major bug this game suffers from to see if it has ever been fixed, been ~8-9 months and the sticky on the forum is like 10 pages long without one reply from tech support, or a mod. Mind you the thread just only recently got created about a month or so ago.

This sounds awesome as hell... AT FIRST.. unfortunately I come from a forum that had a big industry forum, and contest posts started forming, they were really great at first, but soon exploited, not from the runners (well some of that too) but by the bots that were submitting and bumping the forum threads.....
because this is promoted as a collection system.. and not random.... and perhaps it dont even matter of that... watch the bots increase 500000%
Farming for gold is one thing.. now farming for nvidia cards and the 10,000 companies who are now going to clone this idea...
Let me tell you know, its been done, and now everyone hates those contests... same will happen here..

If people want to bot because they're too lazy to play, screw 'em.
However, people who can't afford to fork out for graphics cards? I have to say, go for it. Bot away. Can't blame them at all, things aren't cheap!

one might wonder if this contest is genuinely naive, stupid or ignorant. maybe all three.

I thought it was a good idea. *shrugs* And can't most botting programs be auto-detected nowadays?
