Indeed.
Best decision they could've made - and should've made. ( And did make)

Damn and blast! I was really looking forward to its innovative combat, superb crafting and groundbreaking endgame content!

Yes.

Indeed.

Maybe now I might find a Email from SOE in my inbox.

Pretty much entirely unsurprised; the marketing etc. didn't "feel" like something you'd see from a game out in under a month.

I have to agree. While I did pre-order it, I didn't think it'd be ready for November.

Let's just hope they do finish it off for early next year, or they'll lose everyone to other games planned for release then.

Not unexpected. Game only went into public closed beta a little while ago. Good that they didn't push out an unfinished product.

Yup. Hate to say it, but I think this is to do with the state of the game, and not WOW... cough.

Always a good thing that these things aren't thrown out to the public broken/unready as is the usual.

As far as WoW goes, screw-it, it's yesterdays news, their whole "expansion" re-launch whatever is just a re-hash of old news, it's past it's day already, enuf! Stop trying so hard to beat that dead horse let it rest in peace already.

Good for them. Now they have a chance to anounce a beta.

This is one of those announcements that I am equally annoyed as I am relieved. :(

Yeah I wasn't surprised either. Obviously they didn't want to go toe to toe with Cata and they are wise not to.

Awesome...Smedley lives in fear of Blizzard.

As he should.

More like Smedley doesn't want to have another NGE moment.

Looks like Smed has learned a lesson for once. He tried forcing EQ2 out 2 weeks ahead of WoW when they both originally launched and SOE learned the hard way what happens when you release a barely playable game and there is a popular alternative available the same month.

It clearly has nothing to do with WoW expansion. Cat was always going to come out in Nov/Dec so they knew it would be in competition, and do you really think they suddenly found out the Cat release then a matter of hours later took the decision to delay just becuase of it? Of couse not.

Could've just be like it is in so many other fields of work.

Marketing and sales can be completely disconnected and clueless from the FACTS of actual product development.

As a result they push developers for deadlines that are not just difficult but completely impossible to meet. Even when facts play out in front of them over and over.
