Belkin n52te and Logitech MX518 mouse. Bind ctrl, alt, and shift to keys on the nostromo and you never run out of key combinations ^^

Same for me, except with my Xai. Although I do still use my Logitech G7 on occasion.

I was shocked to see how easier it was playing with the n52. I have modified it a little though... gel pads on the hand rest and a sugru addition to the dpad.

Real gamers don't use wireless.

Keyboard, mouse and headset all designed for gaming and speed in mind. Well maybe not the headset.

Unless you get a G700 like I did! :P

It has the fantastic feel of a wireless ergonomic mouse, but the prowess and functionality one would expect from a good gaming mouse.

It's not incredibly useful for bind in MMO's, but I do have the extra buttons mapped for certain functions. My G100 keyboard has 12 "G" keys with 3 banks off to the the side that I use for my binds and macros though. All in all, it's a pretty good setup

I considered getting the Naga, but I didn't think it would be the best option for the various FPS's I play. It might have been nice for League of Legends, but LoL doesn't really require a ton of binds, so I'm not upset. :)

@finch,

The buttons are pretty bad for lol. Trying to hit your 4 abilities and carefully target with the mouse can be a real pain. I went back to the standard qwer setup pretty quick. Its FPS games that surprised me i have found tons of uses for the naga in FPS games and i thought it would be useless in them as well.

I just use a standard keyboard and mouse, but when I switched to a mouse with a middle button it was nice. Being able to click and target aoe spells or abilities in the same fluid moment is very nice.

I gotta say, even if I did have a Nostro mouse or w/e though, I still wouldn't use my left hand solely for movement... moving with the mouse and keyboard combined is the only way to go.

I'm loving my Logitech G13 & Razer Naga combo... allows me to bind pretty much everything. :D

I can't imagine ever going back to a regular keyboard + mouse.

Having 30 skills in your action bar and still being expected to wasd to move and mouse to look is silly - especialy as these games start to get more "actiony" and require more movement. This thing is made to compensate for bad UI.
Its game designers that need to start making changes to their games.

That's why I loved the fact that GW would only allow you to take only 8 skills with you into a battle.

It's not an MMO peripheral, sadly, but I can't play flight games any more without TrackIR, and when I play a first-person game (FPMMOs please take note) it's a pain to adjust to the fact that most of them won't let me look around freely. It's amazing how much it adds - even a single-player RPG like Oblivion would be much richer if you could just naturally glance around the world without having to turn your entire body and weapon and movement direction. For an MMO with a good first-person view and more direct control over your character than the usual tab-target-and-start-rotation combat, it'd be great.

I have a MS Sidewinder X8 mouse. I can change DPI on the fly, use wired or wireless (plug is magnetic too, so it plugs itself in!) and being wired charges it up. The two side buttons are vertical rather than horizontal, which I prefer as both sit comfortably under my thumb. Best mouse I've ever had. Sure, I could probably do with two more side buttons (maybe like a spread-out D-pad on the side of the mouse that my thumb would comfortably rest in the middle of) and maybe a few on top just ahead of the left/right mouse buttons and the wheel. Sometimes I use a Zboard Fang for my left hand, mainly on FPS games, but for MMOs I just use my keyboard because I need the keyboard for chat anyway.

The problem I see with that Razor Naga is that with my usual claw-grip on a mouse there's no comfortable place for my thumb to rest and securely grip the mouse. On the X8 my thumb is securely gripping the side of the mouse even while the tip of my thumb is rolling up or down to press either of the side buttons.

I agree with previous commenters that MMOs have too many hotbar skills/abilities/spells these days - we need MMO design to change, not hardware to compensate. Having 3 single target ranged attacks with cooldowns on one character is ridiculous when a single one with no cooldown would suffice. Sometimes I think Dev teams put in redundant abilities/spells just to add extra reward carrots to character progression, more than for gameplay reasons. I would like less spells/abilities, but be able to use them in more/different ways according to context, e.g. a single target heal, that would instead apply a hit-point buff to allies who were at full health, be a banish attack against undead/demons, and a lifesteal attack against other enemies - all on a single hotkey - maybe it starts as just a heal but gains the other applications as you level-up.

My most essential control is a track ball. I never have the real estate to run an mouse, always run out of desk or hit something. I use it with my left and use the arrow and num keys with my right for move and hot keys. I would like to try the nostromo some day though.
