Yes, yes, we know the open beta for Vindictus starts on October 13th, but if you haven't played the game yet, and you're sick of listening to your friends talk about how much fun they're having (while apologizing for giving away their friend codes), you might just wish you had a key yourself. Well, you're in luck.
Today, we're giving away one last blast of 500 beta keys so you can try this game out now. The beautiful thing about these keys is that they spawn two more upon activation. So if you have friends who need one, you can always share the love. Simply head over to our giveaway page to grab a key and follow the directions at the Vindictus site for download instructions and guides on the game. Enjoy!
Editor's Note: Please be aware that this test is for U.S. and Canada residents only, sorry EU players! Your beta will be coming down the pipes eventually!

So, is it also for EU?

Just a heads up,
many of these beta keys will go to waste since the game is available only to US and Canada, you should point that out in article....

I detest any game which excludes a potentially key area, if it be the US or EU, and this is no exception.
It's unfair to the highest degree, and indeed as Nolf predicted, I just wasted a key for someone who have a go who actually CAN have a go because its US and Canada only.

Reagus,
While I understand your frustration, you must also understand how Vindictus is set up. The server routes a connection much like a first-person shooter, where one player is set as the host and the rest of the players connect to them.
Because of this, players who are outside of North America will experience an amazing amount of lag that basically will make the game unplayable, should you choose to play in a party. It's not because they're discriminating against you, it's because the technology used causes a poor playing experience when someone outside of this intended area connects.
With that said, Nexon will eventually be releasing an EU version of Vindictus, so hang tight. Your beta will be coming.

I can attest to that you don't want to play this game on the US servers from outside the US. I'm in alaska and my connections generate unplayable lag for myself when I join a game or for others when I host a game.
also note that this is not just players hosted content where your neighbor will be able to play just fine, you may host the game but all the packets still go to nexon's servers before being sent to your team mates.

Does this game use Gameguard? They don't really say but if they don't I'd love to give it a tray! ^_^

Except you're being a dick to the other players by being thousands of miles away and killing the group's connection.

Oceanic players obviously don't exist. Australian / NZ players are being shunted away from this game due to its obvious ignorance to realize our existence. I am clearly getting the impression that this game will have US + Can / EU versions, and will IP block all who reside outside those regions.
