"All Frostmarrow Skeletal Knights, for example, are level 18. The downside of this is that it requires a certain amount of trial- and-error before everyone figures out what is what. This means that people are going to be getting killed and racking up repair bills until someone gets it on the wiki. I don't particularly enjoy this mechanic, mostly because I can see people getting pretty irritated at the waste of time and money while they figure it out."

Doesn't the CR rating come up when you target a mob??? Should be pretty easy to left click a mob beforehand and check the focus orb for its Challenge Rating before deciding whether or not to do battle with it...

No, the CR rating doesn't come up until you attack the mob. This is not normal behavior. You have to actually connect and hit the mob before you can target them.

That said, they're not the toughest mobs out there. Zombies are CR:2 and Wights are I believe CR:10 and my lvl 6 Monk had no problem taking out the Wights. There were also skeletons that I think were around CR:4.

Frankly, it was all madness last night.

The rewards for trading in motes, though, are made of win and awesome. They're not useful for just one thing. They're ridiculously powerful for any content really. The cloak is just insane.
