Absolutely stunning. This is one of the very few games that gets better and better everytime I see it.

I loved the original GW, but this game is blowing my brain off the planet.

Yes, it really is.

"In the case of resource nodes, once you loot one -- a copper node was the example given -- it's gone for you but not for other players. Everyone gets a shot at it. "

Well isn't that precious. Everyone gets a trophy for participating.

I love this idea, how many times in wow have i found a node or chest, but there's enemies next to it so i have to kill them, and while i am someone comes and steal it. HUGE PISS OFF. This fixes that problem

Darkfall? Really, of all the games in the MMO universe, you think I play that one huh.

This is carebear maximus. "Oh we can't have our sensitive little 'skill-based' players crying that they got beaten to a gathering node!!" Is the YMCA developing this game?

Its absolutely annoying when you are in a high populated server and you can only play at peak hours and when you try to mine everybody else an their pets are doing the same stuff and you have to wait for a miracle to actually get some nodes, if everybody can take a whack at the node everybody is happy, tho mat prices will be very low since everyone can have em

HAHA I love the rate down feature, it shows what playerbases can and cannot handle someone with a different view point. Obviously there's a reason certain gamers go for the "it's not about time or gear, but skill" game. They're the same ones who need the devs to create ploys like this gathering system. "Oh it's so busy in this zone, everyone beats me to the node!!" You poor, poor thing here have some welfare items.

I actually agree with sneaky, i feel its part of the MMO style, that you ahave to compete with others to get the node, one might think of it as gathering PVP, a competition if u like.

Likewise i have no issue getting no loot if i lose the rolls all day long that just my tough luck, in fact i would personally prefer it this way then everyone gets something... u lose some of the suspense all through the dungeon run if you know you will definately get something.

Having said that im still on board with GW2 after having spent way to much time for my own good on GW

BYE Sneaky dont let the door hit ya on the way out you wont be missed.I am glad that the developers are overriding the opportunity for some losers to prove what incourteous, rude jerks they can be by not even bother to ask a player fighting by a resource node if he was after it but going in and stealing it.If GW2 is carebear to the extreme then I am a extreme carebear so why dont you go join your little click of elitist gamesnobs who think they are better than everyone else because of the type of games they like and QQ about it there maybe they will care more about what you think.

Before I stopped playing Lord of the Ring Online, it was such a pain trying to gather materials because both gold sellers and legitimate players are rushing for resource nodes.

It's human nature that when resources are plentiful and more than enough for everyone, people tend to co-operate to make the gathering process efficient. However, when resources are limited, the ugly side of human nature surfaces to create mindsets of "If you win, I lose".

I welcome ArenaNet's decision to make resource nodes available to everyone.

"Bye"? Did I win a trip? HAHA poor thing, a little sensitive aren't ya. And I'm not the one who feels the need to down-rate others' opinions. I offer up mine and engage in debate. Is that not allowed in ArenaNet's overblown game?

And MMOs are about competition, not some "reward for participation" crap from the developers. If you can't handle the competition then this may not be the genre for you. Of course we are in a time of placating the lowest common denominator so you guys will be happy I'm sure.

Anyway, God forbid someone not stroke the collective ego of ArenaNet, making such over-the-top claims as "this is revolutionary" or "OMG this is the greatest thing since the wheel!!!" Yeah, so was AOC. Been there, done that, have the T-shirt.

I like the artwork for Guild Wars 2. It's a style that I hope translates well into the game, especially with gear. And the loot system really lowers the possibility of drama so that you can just hop in and get items without worry of anything being stolen.

I love when these frequent updates MMO's are giving out; they keep my interest piqued.

So much better than the GW1 clothes.

Ugly armor was the only thing i was worried about for GW2.

Char FTW!

Is actually just like FFXIV's gathering. 10 guys all mining one node in peace.
