Mythos, the upcoming Diablo-style action MMO, has not shown its first three classes to be subtle creatures. The first two revealed, the pyromancer and the gadgeteer, both showed their aptitudes for wide-scale destruction. However, the newest class reveal is even more direct -- the bloodletter. It's both a class name and description of what the class specializes in doing. This class is a master of blood and causing grievous bodily harm to everything within range, and it seems quite well-suited to doing just that.
As with other classes, the bloodletter has three different specializations available. The crimsonate gouges opponents and derives sustenance from their injuries, the red hand uses a necromantic control of blood to summon minions and turn corpses into weapons, and the martialist discards pseudo-mystical abilities in favor of brutal expertise with weaponry. Take a look at the full class page for preview screenshots as well as short movies demonstrating the class capabilities, all fine demonstrations of what to expect from what may be the most direct class in Mythos.

Honestly it's not looking good for this game. It's taking them how long to port over classes that the original game had? This isn't even news, as the original game in open beta form had these three exact classes with the same exact masteries.
gl to mythos, too little too late..

This game missed it's prime release date, sorry to say. Diablo 3 will be out sometime around the end of 2011. Tourchlight 2 in the spring. While not coming with the label of MMO, the other two game are basically the same deal. I guess MMO in Mythos is means Hubs with people in them to grab quest and party. Blizzard will basically wipe the floor with these two. This feeble attempt to bring hype to the game is admiral but for people who played the game in open beta we want to see what they fixed or broke. While I hope it's sustainable I dont see myself or my friends plaything this game over D3.

-Why- are they trying to act like this is a new game? -_-
All they're doing is taking forever to release what will probably just be an exact copy of how Mythos was during its original beta. I fail to understand how this is taking them so darn long to get up.

Oddly enough i'de only heard of this one recently through Massively, and while I loved the original 2 diablo games I'm just not sure I'm up for the third, Blizzard seems to have a very clear pattern of retooling the old with shiny new packaging and thier adoring fanbase just sucking it right up like it was something trully new.
While its hard (if not impossible) to deny that blizzard does deliver some trully polished games and the level of enjoyment from them is great, its still all becoming an old hat routine.

I've was waiting for the release back when it was owned by the original guys. It felt like ages waiting for the beta to end, about a year if I recall. Then, before it even had a chance, it got canceled. Now this is just making it worse. Months and months and all they can do is release bits of info. This game was pretty much complete, why's it taking this long. It's been 2 or 3 years, hurry it up already!

I played the original Mythos under Flagship about 2 years ago. This is not anything new. Looks like the same game. Was not a MMO in any sense of the word. Towns were the gathering place originally, then it was changed to open field and then it fell off the radar. Sometimes games just need to die a true death and not be resuscitated again as a shiny new thing.

Well sign me damn up for a Martialist then, this looks like fun. I don't give a hoot what it's heritage is or how disillusioned people have become with it, I want IN! :D

This pathetic excuse for "news" doesn't deserve to be dignified by mention on Massively. The Bloodletter class was announced YEARS ago when Mythos was in beta test under Flagship. I played one.
According to posts deleted by Redbana forum moderators, the Korean version of Mythos (on which the others will be based) has massively nerfed the Bloodletter summoner build by halving the number of minions they can have. If true, THAT is news. Bad news.

Please wake me up when they start announcing classes that were not available in the beta over a year ago. I am glad to see that Mythos is still chugging along, I just hope its original awesome has survives the translation.

Not being cruel for the sake of it, but seriously, this looks VERY lackluster. Its the same ol same ol visually, the Bloodletter is just a Necro/Barb mashup, I dunno, there are better options. I just checked the site and saw you could pick a race as well as a class, THATS kinda interesting! Then I saw the racial bonuses, goodbye interesting! +20% to a resistance and +X to a stat?.... seriously? +3 Mana?
Id rather play Titans Quest honestly, or Torchlight, and eagerly awaiting Torchlight 2 and Grim Dawn. I dont know what to make of D3 anymore, I mean it started development in 2001. Either those are 5 LOOOOOONNNNNGGGG acts, or it teaches you latin, does your taxes and cures cancer. Besides I'm also terrified of how Kotick plans to make money on it, 5 bucks a Magic Find potion perhaps? ugh.

I played the Mythos beta back in the day. It was fun but, as others have stated, there is nothing new about this "news". What next? "Redbana announces a playable cyclops race! Woot!"
Frankly, I don't see how Mythos is going to be able to survive pitted against similar (and probably better) games such as Torchlight 2.
Mythos seems pretty lackluster, from where I sit, and I believe Redbana allowed the optimum moment to release this game pass them by some time ago.
