I am 100% happy with their customer service also with GM online help. You must take that table with reserve, its about population in every faction. As you can see at server login screen. Community on each server is kindful, and you will find many players who want help you, with every kind of question. After 2 years in game I posted maybe 12 support tickets and they resolved all of them in really short time. Also they havnt problem with language support (my friend dont know word in English and he posted support ticket and used Google translator, they resolved it too). So I want see more players after this analysis, especially with announced F2P system!!!

I think I had the same exact problem with the Man of Wealth and Taste questline several years ago when I played PotBS briefly. Strange that they haven't fixed the issue in all of this time.

Great article, as always. *salutes the detective*

I recall you a person having problems with this mission. So I have to assume you were that person. I have primarily played Spain and most of the time I would say that we are pretty good about helping new players. Spain is usually one of the lowest population nations so we generally try to help any new players that arrive on our shores. The hard core PVP crowd is usually busy PVPing and they like to talk lots of smack. I would have hoped that you would have been better received across all nations as we all need more players. We are anxious for the influx of new and returning blood when the game goes to F2P.

I've played POTBS for more than 2 years on and off. I think the question, "How DO I trade a ship" just seems a bit blatantly obvious for those of us who are veterans of the game. So, IDK, people in nation just might have thought you were joking or being a troll in nation. You have to keep in mind that POTBS is a bit of a hardcore game as far as MMOs go. So yeah, you can't trade ships in POTBS. You can trade ship deeds ! That's different, but ships no.

If you can get through some of the difficulties in the beginning, POTBS is really a great game. I've played EVE, WOW, Warhammer, Age of Conan, Lord of the Rings Online, and they have never been as good as POTBS> I just keep coming back to this game even after all this time!

Also, you have to realize that Pirates are the worst faction when it comes to community. The pirates are known for their constant infighting and never being able to work cohesively as a group. With nationals it is different and people are much more helpful to newbies especially when you play a national character.

Nobody wants to deal with noobs in this game because it takes a ton of time and energy to train them and lots of dying because there aren't any other noons to fight. Just three year vets that can win with no ammo or patches.
