Fun to see my first MMO still going strong after so many years with so many much much younger games collapsing and exploding...

Long live UO!

Now if they'd only make it fully 3d. I'd gladly come back to it.

Mentioning freeshards is a no-no.

Free shards are great and for the most part so is live UO, I just wish it was free to play by this point , I enjoy the game but I wouldn't pay for it. (Besides the actual game+Expansions)

I was going through some old game jewel cases, and came across the case for Utima IX: Ascension, and on the back of it was an advertisement that simply read "Ultima Online 2 - coming 2000". Even THAT was suppossed to be 10 years ago... I love Brittania, as Ultima 7 was my first real foray into RPG and desktop gaming... but I'm hoping someday will be a total revamp of the greatest game series ever made.

I'm curious to see how this turns out. I let go my house and account roundabout last winter, and every once in a while I get that itch. This could be the sort of cash infusion UO needs to keep churning out new content. And people have wanted an expansion to the boat system for ages.
