Some of the combo's are just as brutal too, they rely more on the X number of left clicks then a right click to perform, but nothing beats grabbing a gnoll throwing a few in its gut then snap kicking it into a few mobs

The beta has been somewhat interesting, admittedly though its rather hard to play considering its only available to NA

I'm only been playing this game mildly, but love most everything about it so far. The combat is addicting, and it is a fun game to play coop with a friend or 2. If I was playing it a little more hardcore (I'm only level 9), I'd probably complain about having to repeat missions over and over to get an item, or the lack of randomness in missions, but playing at a casual pace has been wonderful for me. I'm quite surprised this game isn't being ported onto the Xbox 360 or Wii, this game would be a hit on a console with its arcade action.

They are but there is a version coming to EU from the sound of it a bit later this year.

In part because of localization/distribution contracts and partly because the games dungeons are peer to peer. So having players geographically close to you is highly beneficial.

Probably my favorite F2P game to date.

That said I don't play it every day or 27hrs a day, just here and there when I want some good oll dungeon/boss crushing. Probably play it more when Evy comes out for dat golem.

The grappling is definitely entertaining and can deliver some huge damage.

Like most F2P games it overflows with potential and unlike most it has a beta that is obviously actually a beta. Which people are apparently unfamiliar with, having been spoiled by P2P betas that are more marketing the game than actual bug hunt. They also appear to have a team that actually stomps the bugs in a fairly timely manner, I just wish they had better communication with the players (tho that seems to be improving).

The only other slight shortfall is the peer to peer dungeons ..... if your latency sucks with the host your going to be miserable .... so best join dungeon groups where that isn't an issue and all is well.

................. hmm think I'm going to go play some now.

I've been playing this and have been having more fun doing so than I have had playing some P2P games lately. The production values are unbelievably high, especially considering it is a F2P game. If more F2P game developers aimed for this level of quality in their games, I would be a very happy person. =)

The use of the Source engine is impressive as well. It would be great to see Nexon and Valve partnering up and offering this game on Steam, as it really does the Source engine justice, and could potentially reach an even larger western audience that way. Though, admittedly, I'm not sure how the two companies would work that out or if it would be beneficial to both parties. I just think that the game is of exceptional quality, and deserves some more recognition =)

This game is really just a multiplayer game where you run through dungeons that all pretty much the same with up to 4 players. In some instances you can increase to 8 with raids.

You will end up repeating the same dungeons over and over again to complete silly little goals to advance in the game. The dungeons are small boxes which you zone into another box until you reach the end where you fight a boss monster. They throw in a few pointless traps but since you will run the mission over and over you will know where they are.

The crafting is mindless. You get materials from dungeons or the auction house and click craft.

With combat up to 20th there are five combat moves from what I can tell which really take no skill at all to pull off.
1. Pickup and throw creature.
2. Attack.
3. Pickup and throw environmental item.
4. Kick/thrust.
5. Super Kick

There are lots and lots of collection quests and complete this dungeon with such and such score which end up being pretty boring after a while that you tend to ignore them.

Most men who like action oriented games will most likely enjoy this game in the short term, but the reality is that it is a mindless grind with pretty graphics. Once Guildwars 2 is out, there won't be many people playing it.

I don't know why Chris is getting hate. I think his post is a fair assessment of the game.

I'm having lots of fun with this game. Still trying to master the blocking and dodging, pick up on the mobs queues on what attack is coming is challenging.

I really enjoy this game. I just like open worlds more than instanced. I hope TERA isn't all hype.

I agree if Tera can bring this kind of action based play with a world as open as WoW's then we'll really have something new and innovative on our hands.

The game is heavily instanced. I have not seen any open world other than the main city and even it is awash with blue instance portals for every door.

Beautiful, fun game but not my thing.

The thing with this game is it should be regarded as an online action mutliplayer game / dungeon crawler, it's not really if at all an MMORPG.

But it is hella fun. ;D I usually hate repeating content over and over but in Vindictus I don't seem to mind because I just try different moves. It reminds me of Demon's Souls meets Mabinogi, it's a strange combo that I'm liking so far.
