Famous last words....

You'd think cocky, self indulgent developers would have learned their lesson from previous cocky, self indulgent developers making quotes like that by now.

There are two kind of people when it comes to big words, those that can pull it off and those that cannot.

Thing is, history might remember the first, but will never forget the later.

Never liked garriott, he likes to start games and abandon ship right after while also suing his current employer for lots of money.

I decided after i saw tabula rasa fall id never play a mmo he was affiliated with again.

Btw i still havent forgotten UO and the time he sued to have lord british, the main character, removed from the game.

I guess Mr Lee doesnt know his history. Richard Garriott has been one of the most influential developers in the gaming industry.

He was actually working on a new Ultima Online (UOX), but EA in their "infinate wisdom" decided they didnt want to compete with themselves in the still young MMO market and canned the project, fired 90% of the employees, stole all the development and put it into UO.

Richard went to NCSoft and made Tabula Rasa, which I enjoyed very much. While in space, NCSoft canned his project because it wasnt as popular as the fantasy games NCSoft usually does.

Im just hoping Richard learned from these bigger companies screwing his projects and sticks with his own company instead of relying on others.

The MMO legend worked on 2 MMO games. One of which closed after a few months.

He is really legendary.
