Patch 1.1 was a contentious period in the life of Allods Online, but the dev team is hoping to get past the controversy with the impressive improvements of patch 1.1.02. Although those excessive decimal points may not instill your heart with awe, the patch is quite beefy indeed.
At the cornerstone of this update is a new zone, the Dream Factory. Meant for level 22 Imperial players, the Dream Factory will shed some light on Yasker's war against the League. Also included in the update is a bevy of new social options, including a calendar and a bulletin board system. The bulletin board offers three helpful features: guild announcements, general announcements and a looking-for-group tool.
Most of the classes were on the business end of a major tune-up, and as a result, affected classes have had their talents and rubies reset. The patch notes list extensive changes for classes such as the warrior, although scouts are left with this maddeningly vague statement: "Significantly changed all spells and abilities." It's a new minigame: figure out what "significant changes" have been made to your class! You can read the full patch notes over at Allods Online.

Oh Allods, the great game that almost was. It's good that improvements are being made; quite the mountain to climb there.

And still no repeal of the damaging changes from Patch 1.1 .... no thanks! I mean hell when I look at the forum boards..90% of the people are all new faces...or completely clueless boobs really who will throw their money away on crap.
Allods R.I.P. (dead to me atleast) just another really bad greedy cash shop game.

Until I hear they've made significant changes to the cash shop, OR come out with a subscription server that does away with the penalties the cash shop is used to alleviate, I will never play this game again.
I quite enjoyed the game during the closed beta. It was fairly old school, and leveling was pretty slow, but those weren't really bad things. The world was well realized, the classes were interesting, the end game sounded exciting, and it was poised to be my next "game of choice".
Then the cash shop was opened, with items that seemed designed solely to gouge the player. I fully intended to drop a decent amount of money on the game because I believed it deserved to be paid for. But, well, I'm sure I don't need to reiterate what we got.

I no longer play Allods but it is an extraordinarily good game.
It is still on my hard drive with the hope that ONE DAY they will rethink their crazy cash-shop mechanics and stop hobbling all players unless they buy cash shop items.
I still have "cursed" items (quest rewards!) in my bag that can be un-cursed with cash shop items.
I am still doing only a percentage of the damage I used to do until I buy cash shop items to restore my damage.
This game broke my heart.

Does anyone know if the cash shops are any different in NA and EU? I'm from EU so I thought maybe it wouldn't be that horrible there, but being managed by the same company I guess it's about the same.

Layman's terms: Stealth nerfs for all !!!
This game held my greatest expectations, and was one of my greatest disappointments on multiple occasions. Poor judgment and bad decisions on the part of both the publisher and developer have kept this game from being the shining star it should have been.
I still have some hope because it is a decent game underneath it all.

Didn't see anything about prices of the shop or the money-laundry mechanic that turned so many players off the game.

I would play this game if it was subscription based or had the option.
It doesn't.
I don't see myself playing this game because of how they implemented the item/money gauging.

Same here, this is the exact reason I prefer P2P over F2P.
LOVED, this game in the closed beta... Why did they have to ruin it?

Allods is always going to be "that cool-looking game with the awful cash shop."
Better luck next time.

They hoping to get rid of the controversy by adding a zone and little else besides a bunch of "Changes" they won't really specify besides a few minor things?
Oh yeah... definitely not controversial, they are just hiding all the changes that really matter.

Horrible! Horrible, cash shop implementation. I cannot say this enough times no matter how many times it's been said prior in this comment section or any other. I will continue to say it until it's fixed.
P.S. fix the ignore list too. Gold spammers are the only ones on my ignore list and needing to manually type their names is an absolute joke. Imagine typing "ouescoljiisen" correctly just to add someone named "lsdkjnsrnkrl".

Well Since it might actually be helpful, here is a way to quickly dispatch them to the ignore list. Its not as nice as just being able to say right click and add them from a dropdown menu but. .
Click on their names in chat, twice
The first time will start a whisper to them (this isn't important)
The second will add their name into your chat input.
Simply hold shift and use the left arrow key to highlight their name.
Hit the oll Ctrl+C
Hit G to open your chat preferences window, go to the Ignore tab, Click Add
Ctrl+V, Enter.

A good game mismanaged by a garbage company.

Ya, I am aware of how to add them. I was referring to the even more archaic method needed to remove them from an already full ignore list. This means manually typing the spammers name in since they no longer exist and are not typing in chat, the copypasta method will not work. All that just to add another spammer that will one day be needed to be removed. sigh.

They fixed the friend list bug how many months ( not weeks or days!) later? Does anyone remember?
Stay away frfom this game.

How much does it really cost then playing Allods? In other words, what's the monthly fee to remove the worst limitations to the basic gameplay?
