From all the information that has been released it is obvious the game is a complete failure.

It is a dumbed down and much smaller version of FFXI, and don't forget how outdated almost everything in the game is.

I will not buy this game, but I'm sure a lot of very stupid people will waste $75 on it.

After all it is stupid people that keep Square Enix in the game business.

Not buying it at all. Which is sad because I really really need a new MMORPG to play. But after playing the beta there is no way I'm gonna give this game a shot. Guess I have to wait for TOR and GW2. Those 2 look promising.

I never had a plan to get it, but I do know one guy who was going to get this game (they've played the previous FFO) and has changed his mind due to the fatigue system.

No, the information released so far about FF14 is just dismissal. I've been burnt too many times buying MMOs during release. Perhaps I'll take another look when Square-Enix has made substantial improvements to the game.

Not a chance that I will buy this. The lack of direction I found in the beta was frustrating, and this is coming from an EVE player...

I used to be on the MUST BUY bandwagon, but since I tried the beta, I have no interest at all in paying SE to betatest their clearly incoplete, travesty of a game.

When the PS3 version launches, Ill check to see if the game is any better at all. Im dying for a good MMO, but Id rather resub to Aion than play this.

Not right now. I'll take a look at it in about two months and see whats changed and improved and then decide. Right now it just feels to empty of content, and is confusing to follow. I thought FFXI was bad initially but this is worse. So I'm going to wait a few months.

No, I won't be buying it. The only 'first day' games I will be playing are GW2 and maybe the new Stars Wars (if it shows improvement).

I don't understand why Asian gaming companies even bother to port to EU/USA. They never seem to give a damn about our preferred play styles and content and control schemes. Even the most basic business man knows you have to cater specifically to your region if you hope to turn a profit. I guess they still think that MMO gamers are so frakking addicted, they'll buy anything that comes down the pike, no matter what.

I was thinking about buying once servers became more stable. Now that they've begun closing some of the servers for entry (seriously? You can't accomodate more than 2000 players?), including ones that JP friends were planning on playing in, I most likely won't be.

The lockdown may only be temporary, sure; but coming from 11 we had lockdowns that lasted for over a year. Will be interesting to see if they truly screw this one up.

I'm still interested in this title, despite all the ranting and raving of how bad it is. I didnt play in the beta, so Ive no idea how it plays. The combat system, crafting system and classes system all interest me. But alas, I'll wait for a free trial because i dont feel like blowing my money on a game that could possible suck for me.

Nope; the old supscription game catch 22 - the pace is surely too slow for 1 month's play to amount to anything, but even if I try it and it's a pleasant surprise no way am I getting locked into a subscription when I'll drop it the instant GW2 live or beta becomes available.

Not really in a subscription game kind of place right now, and FF XIV certainly isn't the game to change my mind.

Didn't try beta the negativity coming from those who did was enough to steer clear of this one.
