Actually that is what the companies seem to use Closed, and Open Betas for. You could have been trying this game for weeks, or months now. So you conspiracy theories are just that, conspiracy.

As for demos, they would lose money on the game box itself. I was surprised and didn’t understand why they didn’t sell the game as a digital copy. But even with beta testing account they lost potential money because a lot of people here canceled or didn’t buy the game.

However as a customer, I would love to have a demo of a game before it is released.

Saryk - the reason why its only boxed version is because the publishers are counting on big box sales no matter how bad or good the game is. It sort of a safety mecanism that guaranties money even when the game is total crap.

Well - thats how it was back in the days.... Now after tons of crappy releases - no sane MMO gamer will be so stupid to buy a boxed version of a game on release day.

Sadly - there are quite a few insane ppl out there !! (no offence ment) !

I played the beta for a month and decided I would not be buying it.

My feelings exactly. After playing it in beta for a month or so I decided to cancel my preorder and walk away from this one.

Nope. No way. I like some freedom in my MMOs. Like the freedom to swim or jump off a cliff.

I'm not interested in this one at all, no. There's too much else coming down the pike for me to invest time and effort in this game.

I'm planning to bide my time in STO until Cataclysm comes along and then bide my time in Cataclysm till SWTOR or GW2 (games I'm actually looking forward to playing) are released.

STO and then Cataclysm will suffice for the interim, but better games are headed my way in 2011. Woot! As for FF XIV, it just isn't on my radar at all.

When it's cheaper, I have the time to try it, and when I actually have interest in it.

Not no, but hell no. I am not paying for a game that I only get to play for about 8 hours a month.

Thank you for so efficiently illustrating how badly people misunderstand the fatigue system.

Not that I blame you. SE's communication about it was terrible (like denying its existence when it was already implemented in beta), and several badly done translations of their initial announcement confused the issue.

"Thank you for so efficiently illustrating how badly people misunderstand the fatigue system."

Exactly. You have been VERY misinformed dear sir. I suggest you take a moment to distinguish the difference between what you THINK you know and what YOU actually know.

Unlike others, I'm not afraid to adapt to certain control styles and I WILL be buying it and plan to be playing it hopefully by this afternoon barring any traffic accidents, coffee spills or server outages :D
