GA evolves nice and fast so why not give it a try?

Global Agenda is underrated. Great game. Had Global Agenda not started as a sub game and touted as an MMO it would have had a much more successful launch.

I think this is fine.

Pretty much saying: Hey, need a new shooter? We're on sale!

At $21 I'm considering it.

Actually, opportunistic vulture kind of fits with the GA theme when you get into AvA. You wait for an agency to not have enough people online to defend the territory you want and then you take it, or steal something from them. Very fitting. :-)

GA is fun. It'll be awhile before it has deep content, but they definitely have the game play down. IMO they don't need the deep content yet, but it'll be really nice when it gets there.

Yes, convince players of a dying game to pay money for another unsuccessful game that is going to disappear . That makes tons of sense.

I don't understand why people are hating on this. I think it's opportunistic but, that's not a bad thing. It's not like they're dancing on the grave. They're just seeing "Hey, here are some people who like games like us, lets try to get them". It's a smart busienss move.

Hi-Rez studio has shown nothing but sympathy for APB, they shouldn't be getting flack for asking players to try Global Agenda. It's totally worth the $21 bucks.

As far as marketing goes, its a stellar example of seizing the initiative and presenting yourself.

You can see them as vultures, you can see them as a lifeboat, you can see them as a nice sale, its in the perspective and mood of the observer, all Hi Rez says is "sorry to hear a game you enjoyed ended, we are similar check us out for free and if you like us we have a sale just for you and we have jetpacks too".

As for the GA been dead, 3k concurrent users record was broken recently and yesterday they had 1075 new installs just from their updater service, looks quite alive me thinks.

After the closing of APB I decided to give this game a try with the free trial. I made it to the first quest to finally do some pvp and I had a blast, even at a lower level than the others in the game.

To anyone who has purchased GA, is PVP just lobby based or is there actual world pvp?

GA is definitely worth a try. The free trial in the game is actually very good. You can play it an unlimited amount of time and try all the classes. You are allowed to hit level 12, which is high enough to have fun in the PVP zones. I played a LOT of the trial and pvp'd a ton at level 12, until I realized I'd probably already gotten $21.00 worth of entertainment out of it, and broke down and bought it.

Well worth trying out!
