Whatever the "haters" say, you will be there to defend the game no matter which points are valid or not on every comment cuz that's what you seem to do.

This was just a CG cinematic and it does not represent any gameplay, as beautiful as the cinematic was.

FFXIV is not a great game overall. It has it's good points but it is by no means ready for a launch this year.

They wouldn't have to invent anything. SE's given plenty of reasons themselves.

@xslipperyx: ah the haters, they are so funny and predictable. They don't even read an article (and the included links) before they start hating.

I'd advise to do just that, since SE basically adressed every single complaint people had.

@thebigcheese52: personally I find it plenty enjoyable, and with the changes that are going to come with release and that they announced today, it'll be even more enjoyable.
Just as muchb as it's enjoyable seeing the haters scrambling to try and find something new to hate on.

@thebigcheese52: I don't really need to check the date. It's today's news. From today's pre-launch event in tokyo. Your point being?

Yikes, clearly people didn't read the forum post about the ship battles, ship/cake/canon building, UI be addressed, Level cool down being taken down more etc.

@Tizmah: are you seriously expecting haters to actually read before they start to drool their hate-filled dribble? Preposterous!

Well, It's only expected they will scoff it off and say "Oh it's just SE saying this stuff to get more pre-orders" which is highly ignorant in my opinion.

Well you know what they say about haters...

They are predisposed towards the intense dislike of anything that does immediately strike their fancy.

Now I am curious to see how Abriael will troll the replies to create more unnecessary dissension...

Most of the people that were looking forward to the game played OB and found out just how bad the game is.

I was expecting it to improve from FFXI but SE learned nothing from that game so they pretty much made FFXIV a crappy cheaper version of FFXI that none of the fans want to play.

It's not hating if you love something and want it to be improved.
This game is a good example of how Japanese game developers are still making games for the 90s.

SE needs to drop their arrogance and pride and actually learn how to make good games again.

You're quite the forum warrior, Abriael, but for some reason it's always the crappiest games that you feel compelled to defend. Last year it was WAR that you championed your trolling around. And now....FF14.

Doesn't the routine get old after a while?

You have to give Abriael some credit, his WAR defense was quite admirable, especially since he was pretty much alone on that one. And hey it brings some entertainment to these boards, arguments seem always so one-sided anyway. I say keep on dude!

The list of changes that came out of the launch event has me very excited. Some of it sounds very Monster Hunter like.

The cutscenes are great but they can't make up for the lack of content.

FFXIV will be a very good game in a year. Unfortunately I don't have $206 to spare until then. Now I can't wait for GW2.

If only SE could make a game as good as they could make a trailer.
