I have a question- is the American team redesigning the game that is already finished in S. Korea?

Not that I know of. The Korean version is also in development and will have one more closed beta before open beta.

No. The NA company is working with the KR company to change the game to how they see fit BEFORE either game is out and when it actually matters. When the game is already finished, there's not much you can change. Hence Aion.

I was really looking forward to this game a while back. The combat and graphics look awesome. Problem is, now that I've seen more about the game, those are the ONLY things that look good about it. Everything else about this game looks like it should be F2P. I don't think it'll be worth it for the $15 a month. But who knows, could turn out to be really good. Prove me wrong and I will gladly try it out.

It just seems as if all of us MMO players have been left in an apocalyptic wasteland of failed MMO titles and the only land that flourishes we grew tired of. Now sifting through the ruins to feed our apetites we are left despondent and irresponsive towards that next big great thing that comes along.

Just like a leader in a desperate nation facing very difficult times we all want to believe what they are saying, we really do, but too many have come and failed in their same shoes to bring about true change. Now if anything we are citizens of desperate and cynical society, and our hope has all but abandoned us.

Nah, I have some hope for games that look promising. I don't go all-in with my chips but I do give them a chance. If you want to talk about leaders of nations however, I think the current U.S administration is plenty more hopeless than the MMO market :P

Let's not start with political debates/arguments, please. :P

I totally agree with Chris, however. The market is so thin and so many titles have failed to deliver before... Companies need to realise that the players who matter aren't going to be swayed by pretty words and cinematic trailers.

Seeing a lot of dev-hate, as if the devs were incompetent or even maliciously attempting to steal our cash for minimal effort. These guys are trying to match their mortal skills to a grand vision and the failure will often be the fault of expectations and budgets.

Do you know any artists in RL? Maybe you are one? To get an idea of what MMO devs must be facing, just ask any artist how their works match up to the vision they had in their mind's eye. You will find the majority to be frustrated and disappointed.

I'm not saying we should pay for MMOs which don't appeal... I'm just saying voice your displeasure with your wallet and maybe a constructively critical but kind-worded email.
