I won a head start key yesterday on mmorpg.com and can't use it because I play in europe, when the key only works with US client. PM me if you want it. Prio for the one who gives me a key for another beta in anothe game, must be europe client.

Damn, hope they release it on Saturday...I really really hope!

The day Turbine adds a feature that lets me lower or turn off my XP gain like many other MMOs so I can control the pace of my leveling is when I will reactivate LOTRO.

I'd even be willing to pay for the option in the item store. I don't see what the problem is here. It's always double xp! triple xp! Some people like to enjoy the ride and take their time.

I like their F2P model with the exception of charging for quests in certain areas. I mean it doesn't effect me because I already owned the game and expansions, plus have a lifetime sub, but charging for quests per area just seems very Nickel & Dime.

Is it possible to play it with account created for DDO?
I've tried adding it to my "games list" and there is no option for it, and registering new account just won't work (session expired message).
Talking about US version.

When DDO went F2P, our LOTRO accounts didn't work (though apparently you could contact Turbine support and get them tied together), so we went ahead and created new accounts. Other companies have no problems tying their various games under a single account, so it's a bit annoying.

cotheer,

Earlier this year, I had the same problem -- I wanted to add a new DDO account to my existing Turbine account. At the time, the only way to do it was to file a support ticket on the website explaining what you wanted. It took them less than a day to set me up. I don't know whether that system is automated now -- apparently not -- but it IS possible to make it happen if you don't want two separate accounts, so long as you're willing to deal with support.

The game isnt free. Back when i subbed, as a loremaster i had to use 2 other characters to stock the things i needed to gather for my class. Add to that less bank space, 1 character per server, 2g max per character, and yea, the game isnt free. Or its free, just like getting half a bicycle for free. Pretty much useless unless you get the other half of the bike.

unless, like me, that half a bike is enough to give you some enjoyment before you move on to the next toy.
