You should do something with Reddit too. It's way better than Digg.

You guys picked a terrible time to jump on the Digg bandwagon. Timing is everything!

Digg killed itself.
Why would I want to follow a site on Digg that I visit every day anyways?

You guys are more than welcome to submit our stuff to Reddit too! They have a nasty habit of blocking us for "spamming" when we do it. Digg's policies make a smidge more sense!

That's because sites like Digg are supposed to be user submitted. Which is why everyone is now jumping ship to Reddit because they aren't a bunch of corporate sellouts. :)

You guys just have to be more selective and manually post those stories that really interest people instead of just signing up so your rss feed goes to Digg. One way is the equivalent of spam the other requires some editorial decision making and a little effort.

I wish it worked that way. Our default policy is to post only our biggest stories, and usually only a few per week if that. Reddit, however, blacklists users who post links from only one site, even when those posts are exceedingly selective and spread out over many, many months. They call that "spamming," which is why I put the word in quotes.

Yeah no, sorry. I'll take my chances with dysentery.

As an example of how much I hate Digg (or more accurately its users), I tolerate 4chan more than I tolerate Digg. :/

Time and effort building a web site just to turn around and suggest to people to "follow" them on a different web site. *scratches his head*...a little counter productive don't you think?

Digg is now just a corporate shill, for real variety go to reddit. of course you can't count on reddit being your publicity lapdog like Digg is. Which is why gaming reddit is right below massively on my bookmarks.

Honestly, wtf is Digg? I see these little 'Digg it' buttons on things and I have no idea what it's about, other than being a fairly weak pun.

It's supposed to be a news social network akin to Fark. People submit news stories, photos, media, and comments to get dugg (voted up) to the front page. Thing is, the system's full of holes, of both the exploitable and ass variety.

All you need is a really cute kitten as your main picture when you submit to Reddit, otherwise blindly showing off your Digg page is a PR disaster right now if you're in the social media world, especially if you hit front page ...
