It isn't supposed to be new information for players in the know, it's meant to get the word out to people who aren't in the know about the game, or non-players who are only getting news about the game from the Producer's Letter and from news sites who repost it.

P.S. Thanks, Massively, for the WoW icon next to my name. Way to support the entire MMORPG industry and not just the part that's oppressing the rest of it.

I think this is the first person to ever complain about that. Does he/she get a door prize?

Yes, Blizzard are actively going about with their legal teams and shutting down MMOs since they have a patent on the genre.

No.

Grow up.

So I see one huge glaring problem with this seemingly temporary race of the Skaven. Since it's sounding like it will be something similar to monster play what's to prevent bitter players from giving away info on realm status and warband locations via their Skaven characters? Still too early to tell for sure, but I'm not enthused by any of the information they revealed at Gamescom.

Its funny...people won't sub to the game because every game is going f2p and they keep insisting they are not going f2p which means they are going to go f2p.

I really have no desire to sub to this game when I have LOTRO and EQ2X sitting on my desktop. I'm just waiting for AOC and WAR to decide who will blink first...

PvP in this game is better than any free to play game and some sub games. So I guess if you don't like PvP you'd stay with Lotro, etc, etc.

"but we will take responsibility for making sure that the power gap between lower RR’s and the higher RR players isn’t an insurmountable obstacle to overcome."

Then why is there no mention of huge gap between players wearing sovereign, and everyone else? This also hints that Mythic will not be doing any more server merges/balancing. This sucks for those that will have to pay for transfers off servers with HUGE population imbalances.

I predict a slowly increasing slide into the void for WAR.

having filled every character slot on my account already and just hitting t3 with my first one, i have to say this to the developers:

- FIX your bugs in the the maps and make your collision system more robust,
- why the f*cking f*ck do you change how the meta game in rvr works every single tier? the first tier is as of now the most fun with the least commitment. it's rewarding and most of the time motivating. i'm very reluctant to log in with my t3 char, because sz's are just stupid. you get in, you get DESTROYED at the first sign of resistance and my friends tell me this is getting worse at t4 with the 12p assist train. i'm not looking forward to that,
- what are you going to do against realm imbalance? "against all odds" did the opposite: you invite egotistic solo players to run around alone and not join warbands. you need to change how you reward a player,
- your "most famous dungeon", aka "valley of the hunter" is full of insanely obvious bugs and yet you can't fix that? way to go to add more an "appearance function",
- explain your game! even though there are tutorials and there's a manual there's no notion of giving a player any advice as to how play or skill his class. there's more tanks that do not know what "guard" does than there are not,
- balance scenarios: i know you got a general population problem on the servers, still. opening a scenario and letting 5 level 2-4 players play against 7 8-10 players won't work. EVER. not to mention a lack of certain classes, especially in t2 & t3,
- balance your classes! warrior priests are insanely overpowered healers, tanks are impossible to kill and deal a good amount of damage. this is apparent even before hitting t4 and grinding your gear in stupid pve dungeons,

i could go on... but all of this is known. it's just my perspective as a new player to war (playing like a month now).

100% agree with u... i like the game but i cant play it with all thoes bugs... i mean CMON.... there are so many 1 year old games who are polished 100 x times better than WAR :( it makes me feel sad.... i mean when i just played the first tier area .... it felt like i am playing beta/ or even alpha...

I think you guys are coming to the same conclution I did few months back.

"Im not paying for this"

Its ok for few weeks before the huge cracks and issues and the annoying things start to really effect the gameplay to the point of loosing all enjoyment. And if you stuble into PVE by accitent - You will come to this conclution even faster.

WAR isn't a sub based quality game. Thats just a fact - And alot of the free to play titles have better support than what BIoware/Mythic are offering...

WAR is the first Bioware MMO - we can see how they are gonna treat their games dont we ?

Not ot mention the trainer changes. Mythic - please, please, please explain how the game is better when everyone has to troop to their capital city just to train skills.

The trainers were already in place in every warcamp and many villages. You actually put effort into making a change that made the game significantly more annoying. I'd genuinely love to know what the logic behind the decision was.

Then there's getting rid 90% of the merchants. You know you can't even complete the 'Sky's the limit' quest in Altdorf anymore because you've removed too many merchants? Of course you don't, because none of you actually play the game anymore.

It's a small point, but indicative of the greater problems : whoever is making decisions is blatantly not playing their own game.

My WAR sub ran out last month. I got tired of the imbalanced RvR (we zerg them or they zerg us), being staggered then steam-rolled by melee assist trains, running buggy dungeons dozens of times and still not getting the boots I've been chasing for a YEAR...etc etc etc. Even going F2P would probably not lure me back - too many inherent design flaws and ongoing bugs that just aren't being fixed.

"Skaven, who will be playable by either realm"

/facepalm

Lets just piss all over the lore... add Britonians next and let Chaos play them, makes about as much sense.
