Massively has teamed up with the fine folk over at Wargaming.net to bring you a dose of exclusive screenshot goodness from the ongoing World of Tanks closed beta test. The upcoming massively multiplayer action title puts players in the cockpit of over 150 World War II-era armored vehicles from the United States, Germany, and the Soviet Union, all of them modeled with an eye towards historical accuracy.
The screenshots, released today to coincide with the start of Phase Two of closed beta, feature the bombed-out buildings of Erlenberg as well as the relatively peaceful farmland and homesteads around Pagorki.
Learn more about World of Tanks at the official website, be sure to sign up for the beta, and don't forget to view the new screens in our gallery below.

Is the tank driving and shooting in this like WW II online?

Wee...new maps!
I was surprised to see my tanks still in the garage yesterday, but apparently they will be wiping those out soon. Killed a KV-3 in my III/IV yesterday and am still pretty happy about that. Had to track him twice and get lucky on a point blank shot from him that only took 30 percent of my life while running behind a rock, but a kill is a kill.

Why didn't they add/use lightning from explosions and guns? Could be spectacular - instead it looks like 5 years old game.
