Cross-Faction Communication has been confirmed - so yes, you can speak to members of the opposite faction.

Larry,

1. Find out how many different storyline outcomes/endings there will be for each class. I'm assuming there will be atlest 2, but there could be 3 or 4. I'm sure not much more than that.

2. Find out how many character slots there will be per account.

3. Maybe they will be ready to tell us when to expect open/closed beta. (Still only in closed "Game Testing")

4. Ask about Payment models! (I personally want a monthly payment sub.)

Query: What is SWTOR doing to differentiate or improve its endgame from that of other MMO's in the market?

For the Bounty Hunter class, how will jetpacks work? Ideally, I'd like to see them work like the jetpacks in Global Agenda -- limited time, but the freedom to move where you choose. I'd be very disappointed if the jetpack was just a fancy animation effect for special attacks.

Will there be micro transactions?

Will there be surnames?

Have you considered the option of players giving their companions visible "nicknames" so we can easily differentiate between them in crowded environments?

Why the secrecy with endgame? We need to know what we're looking forward to, I find the lack of information disturbing.

Are you still working on character customisation options, Selectable height and
Facial characteristics being the key points?

Are legacy characters still planned, and if so, how will they be implemented?

Sorry for the barrage of questions, but if you don't ask you don't get :)

I am packing now and will be on the plane tomorrow. I have taken note of all these great questions. I will do my best to get them answered for you. Feel free to ask more. I will continue to check back here all weekend. Thank you.

If you you happen to be in the Seattle area this weekend, be sure to stop by the Massively party Saturday night at 8pm PDT. Details where posted yesterday.

Larry,

I'd like to know more about "Grouping" Mechcanics.

Say I've been playing for a month or so. I have a friend who just joined. We both have characters on the same faction. My question is: "Can my higher level character group with the lower level character and help him out and conversely can the lower level character group with my higher-level character and help out without the possibility of potentially missing out on the lower level quest story arcs?"

Other questions would included: How level-restricted is the content? Are you out of luck if your Guild team wants to run a flashpoint that is "gated" for a specific level range?

Obviously certain activities will be restricted to characters with higher-end builds. My experience with City of Heroes and Star Trek Online is that certain level restrictions are too narrow. I've been on Task forces (aka Single Team Dungeons raids) where I've started at the low end of the spectrum and have gained two or more levels in the process.

That's something I haven't seen talked about in SWTOR that I'd really like to know. We know we can probably solo to the level cap, what I'd like to know is how easy would it be to get groups together. I've sometimes noticed it's harder to make a team out of guild people than it is to get a PUG. (Although YMMV on a PUG)

I want to know:

1) Which races can be which classes? - I expect some races to be faction restricted - e.g. Sith & Chiss to be Empire-only - but I won't be happy if most races are restricted to a single class because that just kills variety.

2) What end-game activities are there? - Although I'd be fine if Bioware said "make a new character and experience a different journey through the game" because I think SW:TOR will have more replayability than most MMOs.

3) Can we construct our own lightsabers/weapons like in KOTOR and pick from a wide range of lightsaber colours?

4) Is space combat optional or mandatory? - As pretty as it looks, I'm going to get bored of a tunnel shooter sooner rather than later - this isn't the 1990s - I prefer free-form movement.

5) Is it possible to do most of the content in the game grouped with 1-3 friends, or even solo? What type of content would be restricted to teams or multiple teams or guilds, if any? - It always irks me when main storyline content is wasted on raids, where all most people care about is loot and getting the job done fast, because when I'm raiding I really don't have much time to follow story stuff.

6) I expect a cash-shop (most sub games seem to have them these days), but can Bioware confirm that only out-of-game services (character transfer, etc.) and maybe aesthetic or minor utility items will be sold in it? - Because if they're going to sell major gameplay-affecting items, e.g. armour and weapons, then I probably won't bother playing.

7a) How many planets will there be at launch?
7b) Will each planet be a single seamless zone? Or if not, how many zones on average?
7c) How big will each planetary zone/area be?
7d) Will there be enough planets that I could only visit half of them while playing one character, to leave the others as fresh content for when I play another character?

8) Does positioning matter in combat? And is combat going to be direct action-based, or is it going to be more like WoW and most MMOs where I press a button and then wait a few seconds for an animation to play out, during which I don't really feel in control of my character? - From watching the SWTOR gameplay vids I fear the latter, in which case I'll remain far more excited about GW2 and non-MMOs like Brink which are actually innovating on combat & movement in online games - because combat is likely where most of my playing time will be spent and the more interesting the combat system, the more likely I'll stick around long-term.

9) Is loot all hand-crafted and tiered (like in WoW and EQ), or is it just partially hand-crafted with most of it procedurally generated (like in Diablo 2 and Borderlands)? - Just trying to determine whether this game will be a colossal loot grind based on envy/greed, or if it might actually have an interesting loot system where every drop has the potential to be interesting and/or useful. Personally I'd love it if you just salvaged procedurally-generated weapon/lightsaber parts after each kill and could then swap out parts to improve the weapons you use - that would be interesting and immersive.

10) Are there going to be ground vehicles (like landspeeders) available in some zones/instances that we can drive and maybe use in combat?

That should do to be going on with ;)

Great article, thanks! I really wish I had the time and $$ to be able to go to one of these events! What I would like to know, or, would like to have Bioware reveal:

1. Release Date :)
2. The extra tab on the holonet.
3. Another timeline entry would be sweet

Ask if end game will maintain the adventurous "feel" of the game leading up to it. Will it end up like WoW where you kill the same guy over and over again hoping he drops your piece of armor and it feels like a grind or have they somehow changed that concept up a bit.
