Very informative article! It's nice to read about a few of the quests I have yet to experience and good to know that bit about the King Mitradites of Zamora quest to know if I've landed one of the two rarespawn quests. Do you have any information that is indicative of landing the other rare quest?

I'll ask Funcom about it, as I've had no luck getting it to pop over the course of the two weeks I spent writing these two random encounter articles.

I have got both of the rare quests on my Tempest of Set. The first one is called "The Emissary" and you have to kill 500 craterspawn (the ones south of Pin Pin are the easiest) for stones which you turn in for a blue ring and a couple of pieces of social clothing. The second quest you can only get after completing the first one and it is called "The Emissary Returns"

For the second quest you have to defeat 100 nightmare manifestations in Paikang... I have found 2 so far and defeated 1 so it's going to take a while. The reward for this quest is an epic necklace and a social pet. As I imagine no one would be silly enough to complete both quests (would they...?) it would be the rarest pet in the game.

You get the quests from the emissary at a rare encounter at the Silk Road Crossroads which is much like other encounters except the wagon master will not have a quest for you.

Ah, excellent, thanks for the heads up. I've got the first Emissary quest but haven't completed it yet. Wish I'd known that prior to spending a couple hours trying to get another rare instance to pop, ha.
