One of the least expensive methods of getting around in EVE Online is definitely the oft-overlooked shuttle. No, they are not as majestic as many other ships, but for quick trips, shuttles are hard to beat. After all, if a shuttle gets blown up, you can just buy (or make) another one and continue on your way. (This is, of course, assuming you've updated your clone recently. Losing skillpoints due to being podded just sucks on all levels.) Today's incredibly picturesque image of this tiny ship comes to us from Tony H., who attached an equally small note: "This is a screenshot from EVE Online. In the picture, I was flying a Gallente shuttle."

I like screen shots like this... clean, simple good composition. I just recently went back to EVE Online thanks to PLEX and the fact that I can make obscene amounts of ISK easily because my main is an Industrialist with access to T2 BPOs. More screenies like this... 8)

The writer of this post obviously doesn't use implants. Losing a clone is a big deal.
Luckily, in lowsec, you won't get podded, or even lose a shuttle if you're careful. Align time's very speedy, giving people a short time to hit you (instawarp on a pod). As long as you don't lagout, you shouldn't lose a shuttle unless you go to nulsec.

Well, you don't lose implants if you're in a jump clone, unless I'm missing something here.

Curses, foiled again. But you do lose access to the clone for 24h, which can be annoying.

Actually.... if your shuttle is popped, you SHOULD be able to get away in your pod (Though if they can lock a shuttle, thats iffy). That said, popped =/= podded.
