Normally at this time every week we bring you some new TERA screenshots, and while we're happy to report that is still the case, we're also excited to point out a meaty new lore entry on the official TERA website. Both content updates center around the city of Allemantheia, otherwise known as The Desert Jewel. The majestic home of the high elves is located in the barren wastes of the Southern Shara desert and features soaring spires, water sculptures, and austere stonework that reflects the logic and sensibilities of its makers.
You can read more about Allemantheia's history, as well as interesting blurbs about The Mysterium, at the official website. Also, don't forget to check out the new screenshots in our gallery below.

Was good to hear some good lore. This will help me with RPing as an Aman so I will know how to react to High Elves.

Still can't believe how beautiful this game is. For an MMO, this is like CG. Really hope it's not a grindfest. Everything else in the game looks great.

Well said. My exact thoughts. I checked out the system requirements on the Korean site. Hopefully they're the same or at least my system can run it.

ITs all about choice. If you choose to be a female plate wielding class, Im pretty sure form some of the armor sets Ive seen, you wont be showing much skin at all.
Also I find it amusing in this day and age how people get upset over showing a little too much skin, but would have no qualms in gutting and decapitating mobs.

violence is one thing, but portraying the other half of the human population as stank hoes running around in stilettos is just a nerd fantasy. this simply takes away from whatever little realism and immersion there is

Again, you are focusing on the few outfits that are skanky. From what I have seen, the range is wide, you probably are focusing on a few of the castanic female models. Just because there ARE slutty outfits doesnt mean you have to wear them. Play a female aman/baraka/popori instead if it bothers you that much, from what Ive seen, their armor sets are pretty modest.
And yes, I think its a huge hypocrisy that violence is fine, and revealing clothes are not.

you are completely missing the point. why should i support a game that represents females in that way? big tits, thongs and stilettos; wielding incredibly large swords without the muscle mass...that's a whole other topic.
if you want a good example about how to tastefully represent the female form in a game, just look at WoW, Global Agenda, or GW2. if my character is to be a "warrior", then make her look like one. it seems that TERA was developed by hungry pervs who have never touched a female.
the game looks bad in just about every way, especially due to its Aion-esque feel. but the hypersexualization of the female is probably my main reason for passing on this trash. if you think it's ok, grow up. and while youre at it, tell the concept artists to spend some time outside.

I can't wait for the article on the female popori. It should be worth at least 50 comments.

Looks pretty but ... I am still getting a major Aion vibe from this game. :(

Plate, heels and g-string. Hope they spend some time on male character design. Males in Aion were so botched, like they spent all the time on their female counterpart.
