Count me as someone who thinks LotRO is too grindy as it is, so I'm all for being able to buy whatever rep mounts, traits, etc., you can.

It is unbelievably tedious -- and NOT FUN -- grinding some of the traits in this game, let alone the rep stuff (which I usually just bypass -- one horse is as good as another, imo).

So, you dislike Turbine "grindy" design yet you will gladly be double-dipped by the same company that has a design you dislike for this "fix" (monthly sub + cash shop)?

Good Lord, so that is how "F2P" games make money...

Eric, VIP subscribers will get 500 free Turbine points monthly as part of their subscription plan. Save them up and spend them as your see fit... so subscribers don't need to "double dip" to take advantage of the cash shop perks.

That nimble Redhorn Goat looks suspiciously disguised as a pony! I knew it was a part time pony!

Try feeding it cheese at night. Ever wake up to a Redhorn Gremlin?

"anyone remember WHY Capes are at level 20? And what the story reason is?"

I certainly remember - it is all about honoring Hero 1 when Statesman asked all heroes to remove their capes in his honor for helping earth survive the war against the Rikti.

Oh wow.

I ground my captain for days doing everything I could to get a tundra pony, that such effort would be obviated seems to take a lot out of the game and it's ideals.

Same with his goat. That took so long to earn the rep.

Bought horses could have been the stupid festival ones until they could make new skins.

Apart from the fact that a degree takes hard work time and study. While rep items just take time. I can see where your coming from but its not a competative game like say Warhammer Online where changes like this might have an effect its a mainly PVE game. Where does it harm your enjoyment of the game if some one uses there money to buy a rep horse or potions or even other items.
