Funcom has just announced the availability of several limited-time long-term subscription offers, each of them featuring attractive in-game bonus items. The deals are broken down into 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month durations, with each option boasting additional free game time, character levels, and an owlet companion pet.
The 3-month package sports 14 days of free game time, an owlet pet, and 5 free character levels. The 6- and 12-month deals add the Warlord's Cache, a treasure chest of XP buffs, food and drink buffs, and teleportation scrolls that are shared among all the characters on your account. They also add 30 and 60 days of game time, respectively, as well as 10 and 15 free character levels.
The 12-month option also comes with the Wings of Power, a wearable item that grants a 10% experience boost for characters of level 40 and above. If you're thinking of playing Age of Conan long-term, check out these deals while they last, as Funcom states that they'll be gone forever as of September 30th.

Good incentives, but I smell a switch to F2P soon. Just sayin'.
With LOTRO and EQ II going F2P, I bet Funcom will wait to see how they do (Which I'm going to guess is good), and upon seeing the results, they'll make the switch.
Heck, with Guild Wars 2 coming out and requiring no sub fees at all, and after seeing and reading about the reception it got at Gamescon, I'd imagine pretty much EVERY MMO developer out there is looking at providing different incentives and alternative ways to offer their services to players.

I really really liked this game but with games like DDO being f2p I just didn't feel the need. I had planned on coming back after Godslayer but realized it just isn't worth the price of admission imo. If I were to pay for a game this would be it, but still isn't going to happen.

If you go for a year it costs $8 a month, but something is not quite right in Hyboria. I think I will wait until September 29th to make up my mind on this deal.

Good grief.
Why does it feel like every time you turn around they're instituting some new way to skip past levels wholesale? I think this makes three or four different ways now to bump your character up without actually playing the game.
While some people might rejoice at that, to me it just seems like they're all but saying that the leveling content sucks and the sole goal of the game is to be at max level. In which case, why even bother having levels at all?

These prices and incentives are great. Kudos to AoC. I did a 12month sub last fall. But these free lvls are crazy. I leveled my Sin 20 lvls, but I don't hardly know him anymore .. all the bad guys just laugh at all my poor gear. I thought having all these free lvls would be awesome, but now I realized that I just missed out on some great experiences, and now I have to face death even more, now that my gear sucks.
So, lesson: Take advantage of the great pricing, but be careful how you spend those 'free levels'.

Before they offer 6- and 12-month deals they need add a disclaimer that when the games goes offline or change sub to free to play.... your getting your money back...
