Yeah, the forums seem to be having an issue right now.

Had that problem earlier as well, but after I used up my 5 attempts, I tried again after a 15 minute wait, and this time it worked.

Nice to see horses with horseshoes for once - a minor detail really but it was nice none-the-less. I don't much care for some of the WOW-ish/huge shoulder armor I saw in those videos but it looks like there will be a lot of other more normal-looking options that will work so its more of a minor quibble than a real issue for me.

The more i read/see about this game the more I like it. Tanking Rogues? yes please! With all of the multi-class options pvp should be pretty interesting...

Wow, I was already feeling like this was the one to watch, but this piece has firmly planted it into the #1 spot of games I am looking forward to for sure. Open skill system and dynamic content are the two biggest features I feel are missing from contemporary MMOs.

I am not sure sure about being able to switch your build so quickly, that seems odd (like why even have a build to begin with) but hopefully it will fit into the game well and I am envisioning it differently than it will be implemented.

I must say the comment about WoWs movement is strange to me, I found the combat movement in WoW to be very cumbersome and clunky and was constantly frustrated by it in the short time I played. I guess it is all about what you are used to.

I'm not sure about it being all in what you're used to. I played many MMOs before WoW and many after. In the last few years of game-touring, the "clunk" factor in some UIs and controls has become more and more obvious to me. If I can't get that "clunk" to go away after a week or two, I realize it's the game, not me. And when a game has no clunk at all, I am always impressed!

I'd guess that the main reason to have builds is so that you can't do everything in every fight -- you do have to make SOME choices. And you can't change your original class, either; you can only build upon it with the other souls you collect. We'll see whether it works!

Good to hear this is shaping up well. I had been watching it for awhile, but then Scott Hartsman went on a stint where he compared the game to WoW in every way every chance he got. Telling me your game is just like another game does not make me want to play your game.

I'm thrilled that the invasion system is a reality. It sounds AWESOME. I've been waiting for something like this to be a big system in a game. Will it probably be hard to balance? Sure. Does it have a lot of potential problems? Definitely. Is it great that a developer is trying to do something new and dynamic? Absolutely.

I totally agree with you.

Deeper Pockets?

To my knowledge Trion is only out-moneyed by Blizzard, it has some really heavyweight backing behind it.

I don't think the whole genre of MMORPGs needs to be rewrote. I think it just needs a new coat of paint with some new features. No matter how much people complain that MMOs need to be new and unique, those "holy grail" style MMOs always seem to fail.

We just need a new game to play, a new story, and maybe a few new ideas. Though developers should stick to the basic fundamentals that have made MMOs what they are. Even if it means being a "WoW-clone".

It looks good but I think this game is going to be a hard sell. It's coming out at the absolutely worst time, and everything about it is just so generic and typical MMO fantasy. They have some cool ideas but I really don't think that will shine through to most people. Still might give it a try though, I really love the idea of the talent tree customization; that might sell me on the game alone. I think a lot of MMOs will use ideas from this game in the future, but I don't know if this game will do particularly well with them.
