To me it sounds more like World in Conflict and definately not like sins or supreme commander. Call in a force and use abilities to keep your units alive, and call in support using points earned in battle. I liked the game, but after a while it felt shallow. Hopefully this game will have a lot more depth to it outside of simply blowing things up.

This game interested me a lot more than Rift but after reading your hands-on i got a bit disapointed. I was expecting it to be a bit more similar to RTSs than to RPG's and by what you wrote this doesn't seems to be the case.
The gameplay is quest driven (well in RTSs you do have objectives and usually these are mnore varied than in MMOs...) so that is disapointing.
And the fact that your units don't have specific skills but that's instead attributed to your character also turns me off as well as being unable to build bases!

They should include in the game some persistent areas and maybe allow the existence of guild bases and guild vs guild warfare.
I don't know... This seems to be some kind of instanced PvE driven RPG disguised as an RTS.
I hope i am wrong since i was interested in this game. And in a game world after the release of Starcraft 2 with Battlenet i can't seem this game justifying a subscription (unless if it gives "premium" features).

But at least Trion seems focused on bring a much needed breath of fresh air into the MMO genre. So i hope they don't sink!
Their two games seem to very promising and it would be great news if both of them succeeded.
I'll probably try both of them when they're released.
