Its funny to see that so called Star Wars fan don't even know about the lore of Star Wars. The Wizards and Sorcers in TOR according to the lore and if you guys don't know that please stop calling yourself a FAN.

I like magic, I refuse to refer to force as magic, its the force, not magic. I wasn't going to play swtor because there was no magic.

You just sold me swtor.

Somebody explain me the purpose of conferences like GDC. Seems like all the information from them keeps popping up in shitty interviews, small clips, in blogs and stuff like that on a billion different pages all over the internets making it impossible to find out anything. Do the people who host them still live in the magnificent 90ies where game magazines ruled the earth or what?

Seriously? We have Jedi Classes that were in KoTOR that never even got mentioned in TOR and best you can come up with is Shadow & Wizard

This will probably get voted down, but, how generic can you be?

I'll end up buying this game but it gets less and less exciting, hmm, maybe its the hype wearing off?

Um what classes would those be? KOTOR had the Knight, Guardian, and Sentinel. TOR has the Jedi Knight class with the advance classes being Guardian and Sentinel. That information was released last week in the Friday Update. So what class names from KOTOR are they missing again?

No, you're completely right. This game is extremely generic because it's Bioware's first MMO. They don't want to take any risks that might hurt them financially. They just want to make the game that everyone is comfortable playing. There are plenty of other games out there that are trying to break the mold, but Bioware just seems intent on filling it. Instead of being a leader, they are being a follower. I can't speak for everyone, but I am personally bored with the current "generation" of MMO gameplay mechanics and I am eagerly awaiting Guild Wars 2 and TERA for gameplay innovation. If you are looking to find anything new and exciting for the MMO industry, I suggest you look elsewhere, but if you are looking for the same MMO experience you've had with 10 other games before it, but this time based in the Star Wars universe, go right ahead and play this.

Bioware is one of my favourite developers, but for every one thing they are doing right in this game they are doing two things wrong. Unfortunately, everyone but me seems to be so mesmerized by the fact that it's a Star Wars games to notice any of the things it's doing wrong. I'm not saying it's going to be a bad game, I have no way of knowing that, but the biggest thing I know for sure is god damn does the combat look boring as shit.

So what class is the healer for the Sith then? I thought it was going to be the Inquisitor.

It will be, they just haven't released all the details yet. It's clear that the Sith and Jedi classes are going to mirror each other as far as roles go, so I'm sure the Sorcery AC will have healing in it as well. Also since the Smuggler is the 2nd healer for the Republic, I expect the Imp Agent will also have healing for the Empire.

BioWare would have to be pants on head retarded to not give the Empire any healing classes.

I look forward to checking the game out more but that video was rather dull and unimpressive to me, the boss was decent though.

They use terms that, 3,000 years later, appear to be insults.

A LOT less than 3,000 years ago, "homely" was complimentary, while now, it is insulting. "Aristocratic" is another term that has gone from positive to negative connotations.

Do people think that a game set 3,000 years in the past should be nigh-identical to the movies? That is like expecting Ancient Greece (circa 1,000 BC) to be nigh-identical to modern times (circa 2,000 AD).

Most of the Expanded Universe dealing with ancient force-users had plenty of references to Sith and Jedi 'sorcery'...so I don't see what the big deal is here.

Im having an easier time accepting the "sorcery" part... but... wizard...? In star wars lore, the force isnt "magic"... its THE FORCE... please bio-ware, dont call them wizards in the end.

Hey! I have never liked Star Wars, I am here for the "Bioware" and "MMO" after I finished reading those everything else was incidental.
