Well you're coming off a long stint, so despite your immediate plans, you still qualify as a leader. ;)

I like to think of myself as neither a leader nor a follower, more of an instigator.

Leading takes too much work and following is just boring ....

My battle cry: Dance puppets, DANCE!!!

I mostly play support classes in MMOs, that means I like being followed...

I'm a follower, but people tend to follow me too.

As for being laid back, it was once said that I broke my back from being too laid back.

I don't like telling people what to do. I don't mind coming with some advice to newer players, but I try to allways phrase the advice in a way that will allow the reciever to make up his/her own mind about it. I hate it when people try to force me into a certain specc/role/playstyle so I try my very hardest to never do that to others.

In video games, I am a complete follower. I am a Director in my every day life, I have to make decisions and manage people all day. When I go to relax, I don't want to have the responsibilities of decision making anymore, so I'm very content to follow.

I'm no leader and I'm ok with that. I do get people who ask me to lead more often then I'd like and I'm always semi reluctant. Thing is I like to help but I know I lack consistency and organization.

I'm a good officer I think but anything above that and I'll eventually flounder. I'm not going to say that I'm strictly a follower either because I do like to suggest things and sometimes I'll take initiative but it's not something members should count on, on regular basis. So I guess I'm good support, I like to be part of the base, but not the lead. ;D

I used to be a manager for a global entertainment company, staff under me, huge budget, the lot. The stress was terrible and I made a life choice.

Now that I am doing a job with no responsibility my gaming has taken up that need.

I tank.

I'm too strong of a personality to be a follower, even though I want to be a follower, I always end up trying to sway the group leaders to do stuff. I don't know how not to take charge. I still listen to people but then I give input as to what is next. Honestly though a team that takes suggestions evaluates them and works together is a team that is most fun to play with.

Leader- love leading my guild far into the content that's out. Never like following cause I know everything there is to know about instances and raids so when others do it wrong and it doesn't go well it doesn't make the game fun for me.

3rd option. Loner. I like having other people around. Really, I do. As long as I don't actually have to talk to 'em and they ain't breathin' too much o' my air.

AND STAY OFF MY LAWN, YA DARN KIDS!

25% leader / 75% follower. I would never want to run a clan of more than say 6 people. There are people that are better at it and enjoy it more. Let them set things up and have their fun. That said I do like leading short term events that only span a few hours.

Also, I want to add, it that I think there are people that are just really good at making decisions fast and getting people to listen to them. When I find one of these guys, Its a pleasure to let them do what they do best (if there not an idiot)

I don't like telling other people what to do, and I don't like taking orders.
Many people have bad ideas and can't lead, but do.
Many people play horribly but want to come along.
Where does that leave me? Solo for the most part. :X

I prefer following because its easier. However winning is also fun and I will be the leader if I have the knowledge to win and nobody else present does. FFXI was my 1st MMO and that game pretty much requires certain "classes" to lead. If your a tank player that fits leadership because everyone's survival is hinging on one person. When entering new areas or unknown territory I always have the tank in front because if the tank gets aggro everyone just knows to fight, but if a squishy gets aggro, they may die before the tank can gain control and then you have to fight with an injured or dead member. My toon didn't require leadership (as ranger) so in my linkshell (guild) I only had to be a leader amongst players of my same job/class. The same generally applied in WoW, I followed a lot during the leveling phase, but once I had gotten to the raiding point in my WoW career I became a class leader for other players of my class.

Follower. Just let me tank while someone else tells the DPS what to do.
