"Good or Evil you say? Surely my loyalties fall with those that can afford me."

My loyalties are with whatever/whoever I feel like joining at the time.

Do I feel like going off and being a big hero? I'll go do that, maybe help out the other heroes, or just do my own thing.

Do I feel like burning a city to the ground, maybe harming weak civilians just because I'm bored? I'll do that.

I don't really care whose side I'm on, as long as I get some fun out of it. Sometimes it's being a psycho villain or brilliant mastermind, other times it's being a play-by-the-rules hero... of course, I'd break those rules when I felt like it.

((Here is a villainous monologue by my Rogue Isles character, the ruthless Baron Crimson))

"Goodness? Morality? These are platitudes used by lesser men to justify their cowardice. I tell you now, I am not evil. I am efficient. What of the weak? What do they have that the strong do not allow them to have? What rights can they claim that were not given to them by the mercy of greater men? They will never be free as long as they rely on "heroes" to protect them. It is conflict that strengthen us, and isolation, peace, that errodes us. By saving those parasites, the so-called heroes rob them of the chance to improve, to reap the fruits and rewards of a conflict resolved by their own power. Only through chaos can they-can we all, truly learn and grow stronger.

And chaos is exactly what I will bring. I will burn the weak and stupid from this world as a refiner rids the precious metal of impurities. Death to parasites! Death to the weak! Vae Victis!"

Who was it that pulled humanity from the brink of nuclear annihilation?
Who conquered the will of the Earth itself, and used its immense power not for personal gain, but to heal our sick planet?
Who protects us, and keeps our cities safe for our children?

Our benevolent leader, Marcus Cole. All hail the Emperor! Glory to Praetoria!

I find that the world exists simply for my own amusement. You'd think this would naturally lead me towards a villainous persona, but I draw my power from the excess psionic energy of the human brain when their thoughts are directed towards me. Thus, I am an (extreme) attention whore. Harvesting millions of minute particles of energy is far easier (and more delicious) when the people are grouped en mass around me, cheering my name and not scattering off to the winds like cockroaches fleeing from a kitchen light.

When fists are raised high and a chorus of cheers escalate to a deafening roar and each person's only thought in their mind is my name, is when I feast and start riding high off the rush. They're all too happy to be alive and living well, no need to let them know that some of those calamities may have started from my own hands simply so those same hands can save the blind sheep.

Even my civie job is a rock-star simply to fuel my ego and energy reserves. I perform dark and shady actions while under a blazing spotlight, but in the end they still cheer for me as a Revolutionary Hero.

As Machiavelli said, I'm not interested in preserving the status quo; I want to overthrow it. Does that mean I'm a revolutionary? No, not yet. I'll be Loyal to Praetoria until the time is right, and then I'll make my move.

I'm for villains all the way. I've been with City of Heroes/Villains for over 2 years now and I can safely say that nothing feels better than doing some villainy! Heroics just doesn't cut it for me, rogues well you just don't know where they stand sometimes. Villainy, complete and total domination, being feared that's the ticket right there bub!!

I would most definitely stay a Hero. With all the confused alignments out there. Paragon City needs us more then ever. Being able to show all those new heroes what they can do, is well worth it. Don't get me wrong, I would still put on a different mask . Grab a pair of pistols and suppress my godly abilities. Then roam the battlefields, making sure all heroes don't become a thing of the past.

Who would want to be a rebel? The rebels and their quest for 'freedom' are like dogs chasing a car. If they caught it, they wouldn't know what to do with it. The Emperor provides everything an individual could possibly want. Food, shelter, an outlet for creation and the possibilities of a brighter future for any man or woman. In return, he asks only a single thing. Your unflinching compliance.

Be proud when you name yourself a Loyalist. We know who you are, and we stand with you. The Emperor stands with you.

Ave Imperator.

We are in your homes, at your place of work, or waiting for the walk light beside you. We are your brothers, sisters, mothers and fathers, sons and daughters. The friend you thought you knew so well, and the spouse you were certain hid no secrets from you.

There are so many things wrong with the current state of affairs in this world. Innumerable differences of how history -should- have played out. Instead, we have (a) Tyrant as "leader", and the populous blind to all that is wrong on this planet.

Yet a single person, or even a small group, can only do so much. Like the annoyance of a buzzing fly, all it takes is one swat and the 'problem' is eradicated. But if the population is taught so they may see the flaws themselves, learn to -resist- the seductive and easily justified half-truths...

It'd be a start. Wouldn't it? For the Resistance!

Well, I think it comes down to the American Revolution. The Loyalists are like the British and the Resistance is like the Americans. When it comes down to it, the Resistance would be the best way to go. Like all Resistances in history, they are all undermanned and short on arms. They are considered the underdogs, and last i checked America LOVES underdogs. To support this even more, the launch video shows the resistance underneath (literally) the Loyalists. So I choose, The Resistance. VIVA LA REVOLUTION!!!!
