I actually like that Blizzard's art division works with style and atmosphere creation rather than just cooking up some high-tech realism mombo-jombo. But that's in game, and it sure didn't save the first art book from ending up in my recycling bin after sitting unopened on a shelf for about a year.

To me it seems like they're just steamrolling a standard package with the usual cheap to produce items to sell the game for twice it's price. Some people will adore it, others will laugh at them. But really, why not add something more expansion specific? Maybe a deathwing dragon tooth usbstick/authenticator, goblin alarm clock or whatever?

But to each their own.

Surprised at the hate for this CE. Maybe it's just me that likes a good art book.

So, what did people want to see? Figurine? More in-game stuff? Serious question.

As for digital... maybe the digital editions are less of a joke in the US, but let me take a random example of Civilization V: http://www.direct2drive.co.uk/9620/product/Buy-Sid-Meier%E2%80%99s-Civilization-V-Digital-Deluxe-Edition-Download

For £15 (60%) over the standard edition cost from Amazon ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/Take-2-Sid-Meiers-Civilization/dp/B003ELORWE/ ) I get a bonus civilization, a behind the scenes video, and the soundtrack.
