^ Seriously, people still play this?

Look NCSoft, I'm sorry but your game has fundamental flaws that "shiny pets" along with your "shiny new zone" aren't going to fix.

I like how they emphasize that the so called "expansion" (in lots of MMOs, including WOW, Aion 2.0 new content is the equivalent of a content patch not expansion) is free, but they introduce game-changing cash-shop items. Any PVP player (if any left) will have to fork real $ to stay competitive.

If only they put as much effort into the actual gameplay, balance issues and general lack of any development as they do into pets.

How about a Skunk pet with an AoE damage!

Yeah, I know this has nothing to do with this post...

They have some pretty big balls to be advertising what are essentially 40 dollar cash shop items after completely fucking up the game within the past month. Still waiting on my dash of the deavas and fight on the right side (yes, 2 different event) rewards that were due weeks ago.

Still waiting on server transfers so there will be actual competition on the servers rather than entirely 1 sided fights or ghost towns on every single server.

But oh no, that isn't important. Let's instead devote a lot of time advertising this huge cash grab in an already expensive p2p game.

I also think it's funny how they are adding "useful" pets while an entire in game class dedicated to pet use is completely broken and the most under played spec in the game.

It's still a race to see if 2.0 is released on time. If they succeed, it will mark the first time in a full year that NCSoft has successfully met a deadline. The last time would be launch day.

The pets are adorable, and I personally feel that pets are a brilliant addition to any MMO. Everyone loves them!

It's a shame that Aion will never be worth playing.

I like how WoWfantrolls try to talk down the 2.0 update (equivalent to a third of a PAID WoW expansion) as some minor update allways taking some figures out of context.

Aion will gain 8 new dungeons, with one large one for multiple ranges of levels, 2 new complex outdoor dungeons, several worlbossmonster, two large new maps filled with content even on muliple level of heights, several hundred of new quests,(1Aionquest~1,5 WoW quests and 1Aionmission ~ 5 WoW quests thanks to lack of an bloated questsystem), 4 new fortress, several gamesystemupgrades lile windtunnels, improved gliding system, usefull pets, gfx updates. And more details for crafting, gathering, badgerewards, hairstiles, new classskills and stigma, new dual weapon sets etc.

Not every game is a dungeongrinder like WoW where 98% of the content happens inside tiny secluded maps. Not every game needs as many dungeons as this crap game just to offer as much content. Its sad secure and simple zones and shiny rewards even for most stupid task and simplistic gameplay, or bloated but barely filled zones are considered as MMORPG content though, which is the only thing WoW really exceeds with.

Nothing WoWfanboys would get for free from Blizzard even if they would sum up 10 free major content updates (which mostly is just unfinished content they allready paid for with the overpriced expansion they bought before hence they get nothing for free at all. With Cataclysm most of them paid for 4 games worth of content just for the clients and just got that, plus allot of copy paste epix and arenas) With these handfull of tiny dungeons a year worth of "free" updates cant even compete with the free content of 2.0, except with their masses of ugly rehashed epix for grinding two new tiny maps over and over again for another 3 months until the next grind starts. But that appears to be popular. How could a shallow and simplistic (latter often called "polished" by fanboys) game like WoW become so successfull otherwise.

Thank you NCSoft employee for the PR. WOW 3.2 patch has more content that Aion 2.0 patch by far. Hell, I think one WOW continent has 3 or 4 times the content of entire Aion. Go fix the damn servers, give the rewards and stop running into the ground Aion. PR time is long gone.

You just managed to insult both players of WoW (that's a lot of people) and unhappy players of Aion (also a lot of people) all in one post. In doing so I'm guessing not many people will take your post seriously, even if it contains valid points.
Try not to insult your audience if you want them to listen to you.

A game that had limitless potential, is being reduced nothing. Its seems NCsoft has reloaded the gun they previously shot at their foot with. I'm just going to wait for GW2 at least the groundbreaking stuff they showed was actual gameplay and not an eight minute mindf**k like that vision trailer.

Seriously. I see everywhere people complaining about lack of endgame in Aion... and the main comparision is WoW. As a ex-WoW player since the very beginning of the game... does anyone remember when Scholo and Strat was the only endgame? Okay. And URBS was a 10-man "very hard" to get through.

Later, still with Onyxia and Molten Core. The endgame were weak and limited. Give time for the new games out there to improve. Stop QQing and go play.
